Infection: The beginning..

This is a story about a 35 year old man and his wife. This story contains violence, Gore and some disturbing mental images. (You have been warned).

Daniel Brown was a 35 year old used car dealership salesman he knew the trade like the back of his hand, Daniels life had been tough growing up, His Dad walked out on him when he was 8months old and his mother passed away when he turned 13. He spent most of his life in and out of foster care after that up until he was 16.

He met his wife Abbey at high school they started off as "good friends" and eventually got married, Now Daniel was a 35 year old man expecting his first child in only a couple of weeks. Daniel worked at the used car dealership for over 8 years and made an honest living out of it, His life was great and things where starting to go his way, Or so he thought.

Daniel got up early as usual ready for work, He had a shower, Brushes his teeth and grabbed some toast on his way out, "Cya later honey" Daniel shouted as he headed out side closing the front door behind him. Daniel set off for work in his car, He was messing with the stereo buttons trying to find his favorite music channel "Oh comeon!" He shouted as the stereo made that horrible static noise. He turned the stereo off and continued his half an hour journey.. After half an hour he eventually arrived at the Dealership, He parked his car up in the staff car park around the back of the store.
He headed into the building and was greeted by his boss Michael "Daniel, Thank god it's been chaotic!" Said his boss as Daniel entered "Really, Don't tell me where actually selling stuff." Daniel chuckled sitting down at his desk, "Don't get smart, No one turned up John phoned in sick Michelle phoned in sick and so did James, I thought you was going to do the same." "Ah its that bloody swine flu that's been going around I'd put money on it" His boss sighed and went to the back room leaving Daniel to his work. Daniel loaded up his laptop only to find the wireless card wasn't picking up the network, "Michael, Is the network down?" Shouted Daniel, Michael came back into the front area "Shouldn't be, Let me check", Michael disappeared again, After a short while he came back out "Yeah it is, I'll phone the ISP to find out what's going on.." Michael reached into his pocket pulling out his mobile phone, "That's strange.. Can't get a signal hmm.. I'll use the land line." Michael went off into the back room again.. "This is going to be a slow ass day.." Daniel thought to him self. Michael came back out "The land line is out as well!" Michael was obviously getting aggravated now..

4 Hours later:
Daniel finished work early due to the network being down, He strolled out to his car and made the half hour trip back home. It was still early but for some reason was abnormally dark.. He called off at a local store to get a sandwich and a drink,
He parked up out side and headed in. He went straight towards the cooler and picked up 2 cans of Pepsi and a ham and cheese sandwich. He headed to the counter and paid for the goods. As he walked out the store a newspaper caught his eye the headline read "Armageddon?" Daniel thought nothing of it as he headed to his car, He opened his Pepsi and began to drink, He started the car up and headed home.
He took a short cut through a council estate, There where several police cars and ambulances pulled over at the side of the road, All where empty with the sirens flashing.
Daniel slowed down as he drove past them "Council estates.. No surprise here" He thought to him self. He eventually arrived home, He parked in the drive way and headed up the path way. He knocked on the door twice, The door opened "Hey honey" Daniel said as he hugged his wife "Hey baby, how come your home early?" Abbey asked,
"Network problems.. Hows my little champ" He laughed as he rubbed his wifes belly.. Abbey laughed "Well I'm going to go cook dinner now it should be done in an hour" Abbey said, "I already ate on the way back so I'll have mine a little later" Daniel replied. "Oh ok, By the way the land lines out i was trying to phone my mother before and i didn't even get a dial tone" Abbey told Daniel.. "That's weird the phone at work was out to.." Daniel headed to the living room and grabbed the remote, He began searching through channels but all the channels where displaying a looped message, "Ah what the hell is up with this now" Daniel thought to him self.. He turned the volume up so he could hear the message. "This is an Emergency broadcast all bridges leading out of the city have been blocked off stay inside and secure all windows and doors, Avoid people you do not know at all costs, Quarantine anyone who you know who has been attacked in the past 24 hours", Daniel turned the TV off "What the hell is this bullshit?" Daniel thought to him self..

Some time later:
Abbey headed to bed and so did Daniel, He fell asleep almost instantly Abbey stayed up for awhile and read her book. Suddenly there was a sound of glass shattering, Abbey froze the noise came from downstairs "Daniel, Daniel!" She whispered shaking him, "huh? what?" He said with one eye barely open "I think where being broken into i just heard a noise coming from downstairs go see" She panicked.. "It's your imagination get some sleep" Daniel rolled over to go back to sleep.. But then, There was another smash and it sounded alot louder this time Daniel awoken instantly "Stay here" he said reaching to the side of the bed, He retrieved his baseball bat and approached the landing. He turned the light on and slowly headed down the stairs. He looked around and headed to the kitchen where the noise came from. "Hello" He said in a nervous tone, He heard a low moaning sound, He entered the kitchen and turned the light on, "HOLY SH-" The creature looked up at him, It's face was covered in blood and sweat it had several flesh wounds to its body and its eyes, Those terrible red animal eyes.. The creature stared at Daniel for a few moments Daniel was speechless.. He had a cold tingly sensation running down his spine.. The creature roared and jumped at Daniel growling and gnashing its jaws like a crazed dog, Daniel dropped his bat and the creature was still attacking him, Daniel elbowed the creature and it toppled over, Daniel reached out for the baseball bat but the creature was to fast, It bit into Daniels chest and began mauling him, Daniel screamed in agony as blood spurted from his chest "HELP ME!" he screamed as the creature continued ripping him apart. There was a large crunching sound and the creature fell off Daniel lying motionless on its back.. Daniel screamed in agony, He looked up and saw Abbey standing there with the baseball bat, "Baby, God no look at you" She fell to the side of Daniel who was now choking on his own blood.. "I.. I.. Love you" Daniel whispered as he stopped gasping and laid there lifeless "Oh my god no, Please god no no!" Abbey screamed out.. She looked at her husbands lifeless body.. She blinked for a second and as she did Daniels eyes opened.. His eyes where dark red and his facial expression was horrifying.. "Oh my god.." Abbey jumped backwards in shock.. Daniel brought its self up as the blood was still pouring out of he's mouth and chest.. He stumbled towards Abbey "Daniel?" She sobbed.. Daniel roared as he charged at Abbey he ripped into her neck with his bare teeth and began mercilessly beating her with his fists, Like he was possessed by rage its self, He was no longer Daniel.. He began biting her and punching her as she begged for him to stop.. He mauled her like a dog. Daniel stopped him self, Looking down at his wife.. He seemed to display some kind of emotion.. He started screeching like there was a fight going on inside of his head.. Like Daniel was still in there somewhere.. This lasted a couple of seconds before eventually Daniel was lost forever..

The creature bust through the front window leaving Abbey to die from her wounds..
She got to her feet and began running even with all of her wounds she could still run.. She ran through the streets that where covered in blood, Screaming and gun shots could be heard in the distance. She kept running till she saw a person entering a house, She ran straight after them and began banging on the door screaming, The houses owner made the last mistake he'd ever make. He opened the door, There stood Abbey the man looked at her and froze in fear, A grin spread across her face as her red bloody eyes focused in on her first meal..

Yeah i did it took awhile to plot it out and delete some stuff and improve on things, I think i did an ok job but as i said I'm no writer and theres probably alot of grammar errors in there lol.. But yeah it took awhile to write up
