Effing Xbox!

Hey guys, so I'm sitting there, chillin' out, playing some GTA when all of a sudden my controller shuts off and now it won't turn back on no matter what I do. I have a charge kit (this is my 2nd one because the other one dulled out) and no matter which angle I hold it, or which USB port it's plugged in to, it doesn't work, the controller turns on for a second and turns off. This is basically the 4th controller to fall victim to this problem and the charge kit isn't even having an effect on them, I can't unplug them without them turning off again and there's no light on the charger when the controller is plugged in. At first I thought it was the controllers having a problem but I'm beginning to think it could be a problem with the Xbox...? What should I do? I treat my controllers very good and my console works fine, I just don't know what the problem could be.

It's the electricity. You should get new electricity.

It's a controller problem. You're xbox is fine. Get a new charge pack, or better yet, a battery pack.

I blame the economy.

I had a battery pack, but I think it might be the actual controller that doesn't hold a charge because after a while the batteries began to fail too. I think I just have the shittiest luck with controllers

You should probably get an economically friendly, battery powered, night vision, electric powered waffle iron to play your games that's been jury-rigged into a controller, then you can tell all your friends about how you play sexbox with a high tech waffle iron that shoots fires out of its holes.

Had this problem once before too. It's not the xbox, charge kit, or the controller. It's the battery pack for the controller (the controller itself is fine). Rechargeable batteries only have a limited life cycle, and with each "recharge" you lose more and more of its "charge life". Eventually, a 9 hour battery will become a 9 second one.

No need to replace the controller, just the battery pack it uses; I'm pretty sure it is sold separately.

But the charge kit doesn't even light up, is that the battery pack too?
