Made A Couple Logos

Hey everyone,

I'm pretty new to this forum, so don't hate on me! I wrote on my profile that I was a web designer, and decided to make a few logos for the GTA: IV Zombies game you guys do (which I just signed up for). Well, here they are.

EDIT: Sorry I haven't posted them, imgur is broken right now. I'll see if I can get them up somewhere else. The upload thing here doesn't work either.

Thank you! I'm thinking about adding blood splotches behind the actual text of the logo... not sure yet, going to have to work on larger scale blood textures first.

Its pretty simple but I like it. Try playing around with some photoshop tutorials online. They teach you neat little tricks and stuff.

I started doing graphics and stuff on photoshop just to make signatures. I joined alot of graphics websites where people show off the stuff they make but also post really good tutorials.

GFX skool was my favorite but it doesn't seem to be around anymore. People are usually nice on most of these forums and will give you pointers and stuff.

Thanks for all that! I'll have to check those out. Also, I'm unable to use Photoshop because I don't have any money to buy it with. I also am not a big fan of the Photoshop controls, so I tend to stick with Gimp, as it's a good, basic-yet-has-good-results GFX editor. But yeah, the main reason I never get to work with anyone is because I don't have Photoshop - it's like the name brand changes the result of your work or something. "If you don't use Photoshop, it's gonna suck!" kind of deal. But whatever, thanks for the compliments and links.

Sadly, it's almost true. Photoshop is by far the best image editing software on the market, though GIMP is the best freeware that I know of; it's a good place to start if you can't purchase it.

Photoshop costs like 500 dollars. They don't even want you to buy it, they just put that price there simply as a joke to see how many rich people they can trick.

I just realized that in my High School I took some photography/computer class and they used photoshop in there. Holy shit, it must have cost like 35,000 dollars for that class. How the hell could the school afford that?

Anyway, are you able to draw stuff? I don't mean necessarily with a pencil and paper or something like that. I mean like draw stuff other than logos. Like zombies and stuff.

As for IRL drawing, I've taken fine art in school for 3 years now, so drawing/art is one of my strong suits. And, I have a lot of experience with Gimp (I've also been using it for a while, mainly for Wikia before this, making logos, adding transparency to images for the RuneScape Wiki, making avatars, signatures... things of that sort), so "drawing" with image editors is also one of my strong suits.
