Barney doesn't show kids the real world. It has none of the gun-metal grit and realism typically associated with children's programs. It's too happy; there's not a single episode where terrorists storm the studio and maybe things aren't alright in the end. If the 2-8 year old children who make up this show's target demographic don't wake up and start learning real world lessons soon, they just won't be able to face the world.

What a load of shit. Seriously, why would anyone criticize a children's show's educational value if people from fucking Yale are saying it's good?

I had somehow ended up on the Wikipedia page for "Shows considered the worst" and found Barney on the list. I had to find out why since I didn't see how a children's show could really be considered that bad.
