Sunset Riders: Paco Loco
Spoiler:

Paco Loco. That about sums it up.

Horses? I thought we were done with this shit.

Rinse + repeat level two for a little while. Feels easier, but that could be the save states talking.

Then you're on your feet.

There's not much depth to this level beyond the horses. It's a straight up side scroller from here on. No obstacles, just enemies in a straight path. Boring really.

"Aye chihuahua!"

Come on. This racism isn't even subtle anymore.

He has a couple minions, one hiding in a tree.

Didn't get a good picture of it, but to kill him I stood here and shot directly upward. He died insanely quickly.

"Asta la bye-bye!"

Come on

He spends a few seconds trying to kill our hero, but like the rest, he falls pretty quick.

Seven down, one to go.

Sunset Riders: Sir Richard Rose
Spoiler:

Look at this guy.

Start out under fire.

Now they're dead.

Really like this design. A half-submerged fortress made out of wood.

FEAR CARMANO

Spoilers: they die

At the end of this section, the map smoothly transitions into another cool area.

An uphill battle. Can't say much more, just look at it, very cool backdrop.

Looks like some rich asshole's manor.

"Cheerio old chap!"

Enemies in all four corners, and he fires his gun. Tons of minions. Luckily, after a bit of trial and error, I found a way to cheese him to death.

Remember the infamous jump trick? I used that on the ledge while spamming the gun as much as possible to genocide this british fagmo's army.

Just me, you, and your lion statue shield.

And it's gone. This is where the fight becomes fun. Time for some hardcore parkour.

We both have impressive skills, but eventually my acrobatics make him reveal a terrible secret.

He was wearing armor.

The fight continues as previous. We jump around and I take whatever shots I can get on him. Eventually, like all the others...

"I say, bit of bad luck!"

Rot in hell, Brit-scum.

With all that cash, Carmano can finally retire.

~fin~

Sunset Riders was a pretty fun game once I started using save states. Without it, it was complete and utter bullshit fraught with artificial difficulty. Actually, even with save states, it was pretty bullshit. Still! Didn't take me long to play and beat, and I hope everyone that reads this feels inspired to take the Sunset challenge and try (and fail) to beat the game without save states.

It can't be done.

Play it anyway, save states or no. After all, that's the point, right?

Spoiler:
PS: Do me a favor and tell me what you thought of my walkthrough/let's play. If I know that people actually read this and were at least halfway entertained, I'll continue with further games.

Spoiler:
Holy shit the last boss fight is chaos. Guys from ever corner of the map constantly spawning. His 3 henchmen were piss easy compared to this guy.

But in the end Bob saves the day.

Pretty good game. With save slots I mean. Shame we couldn't play it coop because it makes the game so much more fun and actually beatable without save states.

Bump.

When the majority of the people that have shown interest in it at least play Sunset Riders, we'll be able to move onto the next game.

Just read through almost each level you guys posted and it was actually a lot of fun. I wish I could have played it but, blah blah blah.
Please keep this up. I want to see you guys attempt Ninja Gaiden.

Well, most people have played Sunset Riders, so Slacker and I have randomly decided the next game on the list (random number generator).

Clock Tower

So far so good.

Pro Tip: B is the "holy shit" button. Use it when bad things are happening.

Clock Tower

Remember, it is only legal to download ROMs if you own a physical copy; do not download a ROM unless you already own the game. Thank you.

Gotta beat Sunset Riders, then I'm on to Clock Tower.

Last Sunset Riders boss is bullshit.
Fuck this game.
Spoiler:

Wow.
Wow.

I feel like this.

Sunset Riders isn't a bad game, but perhaps it was a horrible horrible way to start off DVGS. It's not meant to be played with only a few lives or even without people. It's tailor made for arcades in mind and with 2-4 bros playing with together.
I ended up getting upset at the game and like, I'm pissed that I had to use saved states for this. Overall, a disappointing start to DVGS but nevermind that, I'm on to Clock Tower

Just beat Clock Tower and got ending B, here's the proof

I have to say I really enjoyed this game, did not expect it to be this good. It's definitely scary at times for snes game. I came pretty close to ending S but I think I forgot to to 1 or 2 things, not sure yet.
