Are you kidding me?

Well for the 3rd time my mw2 disc has been seriously scratched by my xbox. I've paid $180 fuckin dollars on mw2 which means I've bought 3 since it was released. I tryed the old toothpaste trick but it didn't turn out good. Does anyone have any ideas or tricks that would possibly fix this scratch problem before I send my disc in?

i do not know anything else, sorry dude, but, what exactly happened to make it get scratched to hell?

Yea it probably is my xbox cause my nhl 10 also got scratched really bad, there was a whole ring around the disc. I'm probably gonna send in my xbox, see if theres a problem with it.

my gamestop has a disk buffer you pay 2 dollars and it gets out that thing. and also gamestop offered me a 1 year warranty for that thing.

Sounds like there is either something stuck to the reader, it's become loose, or like in many 360's, the mechanism that keeps the disc secure is faulty.

Do you keep your system setting upright, or on its side?

I keep it up most of the time, sometime I'll put it on its side but thats only because the tray thing won't open if the xbox is standing up

i will tell you this NEVER have it standing up unless it is in a tight squeeze in a cabinet somewere with a lot of venting.

i used to have mine free standing on my dresser and my sister knocked the bitch off.

that and the slightest movement will scratch your disc all to hell

1. You should OBVIOUSLY play with your xbox on its side to prevent scratching(If its ruined your past 2 discs and your current disc).
2. I would say buy your games at Gamestop where you can get insurance(basically a year warranty) on a game and it only costs 3 dollars.
3. Your disc is unrepairable(mostlikely). If it happend to me i would be buying used copies. I would also assume that your buying the maps if you spent 180 bucks on MW2 already.
