New rules for rdr life role play
-No pistols of any sort
-No Buffalo Rifles
-No Sniper rifles
-No Teleaporting or fast travling
-People that have the same job must be in the same posse unless there are 2 or more outlaw gangs
-Miners are the only people allowed to have dynamite.
-please do not commit repetitive crime one minute after you spawn
-killing lawmen are automatic death penalties
please do not rob, attack town or stores more than once in a period or 5 minutes.
Warning Bounty hunters please do not attack outlaw without the laws permission.

Job lists
sheriffs, deputy, outlaw, bounty hunters, miners american/mexican armies shop owner rancher etc.

Why the fuck does everyone think that Roleplays need rules? If you think that they do you clearly do not know how to roleplay.
If you have to make set rules it is not a roleplay, because clearly you do not know how or what you are doing when it comes to roleplaying.
BTW, Pistols/Revolvers are a Cowboy icon. You cant just say no to useing them.

they clearly do need rules so thats the rp can run smoothly and so everyone is having a good time.
BTw no pistols because they are cheep noob weapon that do to much damage,
and can get really annoying

Why is it that when a good weapon can be unlocked early in the game, it is called a "Noob Gun"? Maybe its good for low level players to unlock these guns early, as to even the odds with the guys that have been playing the game since release. These rules are ridiculous. I think stating "use common sense" is all you really need.

I say roleplay's need rules Tophat. So where is your logic now?

Well, by stating that you must know what you are doing in order to 'roleplay',than by definition, you have your own set of rules. To have structure does not mean to have total limit or capping on how much fun it is. In my opinion, however, the rules stated, seem a bit too restricting. Though I have played very minimally, I would imagine that each character carries a 20+ pound rifle with heavy thick lead ammo, as normal of an occurrence as carrying money or the latest Apple product, would be quite heavy and tiring. Perhaps consider restricting specific pistols with a creative reason. Say a crafty robber had hijacked the latest shipment of high power pistols, and now him and his gang (or just him..?) are celebrating back at their hide out, leaving an opportune chance for law enforcement to initiate an attack. At least use it as a common thing that everyone wants. Have people kill, pay, do dirty work, ect. in order to acquire such a coveted item.
The weapon is not the problem, the distribution and creativity is.
