G4's top 100 games of all time... *Sigh*

So I know this is kinda late but I figured why not bring a discussion about this up after I got a good look at this list and noticed in my opinion some bullshit. Biggest pile of bs I saw was that angry birds is listed as a better game than fallout 3, mass effect 2 and Minecraft. Plus no gta:SA. But anyways what's your guys opinions about this list?

Wow. Because a lot of the games before #1 up there didn't make me laugh, cry or care at all about the characters, and then...

To be honest I wasn't surprized about the number 1. It seems that's always the number 1 for lists like this. Or the first donkey kong.

4 out of the top 5 were chosen because they're old old and infamous, not because whoever made that list actually enjoys any of them. The fifts on the top 5 was chosen because whoever made that list has a personal stigma about it and believes it was "underrated" and boosted its position tenfold or so. Most of the list is what people want to see, not what whoever made the list actually feels like.

I always kind of roll my eyes at lists like this. I don't think most older games really are great games. I think they just give the person listing it nostalgia. The reason being that if you gave anyone who wasn't playing video games back then a chance to play them now, they wouldn't even come close to their favorite game. They're simplistic and almost story free. I'm sure having two mechanics (jump and move) makes for an absolutely thrilling game, and that the love for these ancient games totally isn't over nostalgia.

Also, listing Halo 3 above Halo? And Portal over both of them? Bah!

also why is goldeneye at #8, i mean at the time sure i would've made an exception, but now there are better ones out there

There's no way in fuck hell Wii Sports is better than L4D. This isn't even up for debate. Madden 2005 is number 24? Ms. fucking Pac-Man is number 18?? Excuse my ignorance, but wasn't the only thing changed for Ms. Pac-Man was a gender swap? WHOA!!!!! What a leap in gaming!!!!!!

These cannot be in order.
