The Fall of Marvel

We all grew up, like our dads, watching marvel cartoons and playing with marvel toys and some of you reading the comics. Some of the movies were good and the characters fantastic. Who doesnt love Spiderman, Hulk, X-Men, Ironman, etc and all their villans. They were/are timeless and great.

But....

I regret to inform you that Marvel Entertainment was purchased by none other then......Disney

Now that Marvel will be raped by the censors and 13 year old girls watching the disney channel, the Hulk will probably help children fight obesity and spiderman will probobly become spidergirl. So if your waiting for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 to come out, you should buy it and treasure it, because it will be the last playable Marvel based game every to be released.

Old news, but yea it sucks. Hopefully they wont censor anything. I think if anything, it makes Marvel Vs Capcom 3 more likely to happen.

But do we really want a game when you can choose from Hulk, Deadpool, Spiderman, and This?

Yeah, it's kinda old at this point. At first I was all like NERD RAEGG (yes, RAEG) but then I realized it's mostly a good thing.

Disney has brought many companies, including Miramax which produces some violent films. Mostly, Disney doesn't want to fuck up a good thing. This deal is more about the movies and cartoons than the comics, and it's lot more about making money off the films.

I'm pretty sure Disney won't have Mickey Mouse join the New Avengers, have Jaffar join the Dark Illuminati or Wolverine in the next Kingdom Hearts games. It's actually a good thing for Marvel because it means an almost endless supply of money and a parent company to help in case of financial trouble.

Marvel sucks right now anyway, not because of Disney but because of Editor-In-Chief Joe Quesada and comic book hack Jeph Loeb. They're fucking with continuity and creating bad stories. They erased almost twenty years of Spider-Man history. They created a shitty character called Red Hulk. If they continue, Marvel's 70 year history will be meddled to their will and that's bullshit.

I totally agree. If anyone has caught the "Wolverine & the X-Men" cartoon out now... it's awesome. Having Pixar at your back... well, hello awesome movies a la Toy Story & UP animation.
