guys I need your help

plying Gay tony y tv screen fuzzed blue and white, turned tv off then back on. didnt work. S I unplugged the tv and tried to fix it still didnt work. turned off my Xbox and now every time I ry to turn it on it is giving me the E74 Error. any other time I wold just jiggle the audio and video cables but that isnt working for me. I even tried replacingthe cable with a new spare on I had. I have blown air into the cables themselves and the ports. . . .HELP!

e74 = simplest form of red ring. Either send it in and wait or get a friend/relative to fix it. Or look online for a tutorial.

Don't listen to master he is a faggot. Its pretty easy to fix, if you ask anyone that knows what they are doing with computers/other technology and find a good tutorial (probably on youtube) than they can do it. Otherwise send it in pal.

I agree 100%(not the part about master being a faggot, i don't know him like that,). It's mad simple to fix. I would mod my other xbox if it had the right disc drive but it doesn't. When it comes to fixing them i can help you out. Dont look up those dumb ass youtube tutorials, they never work for anyone. Get in a xboxlive party with me and i will tell you how to do it the right way.

my dad drives semis for UPS he knows how to fix it all u need is a screw driver, stone bed, and a virgan. then u just kill the virgan on the rock with the screw driver then u drain the blood on to ur xbox. thats what i did.

Seriously, just send the Xbox in. Even if you could fix it by yourself, it may get some other problems later and maybe you can't fix that one. You think Microsoft will be too happy when they see your seal of warranty has been removed?

Finn I wish I could but I don't think its possible, the thing was bought on Ebay and my mom told me last night that the guy we bought it from told us to send it back to him if it broke within the first month, so I think I might do that. but If he won't do that then I will just send in my old one with the red ring if I could figure out the username and password to the account we have it registered on, on there website. So really I am at a loss its pissed me off and my next move is to just empty out my bank account and buy an Elite or the MW2 console

and I also heard about the towel trick, overheating your Xbox to fix it, sounds like a recipe for disaster so I don't think I would dare try it, but what about you guys, intentionally overheating yor Xbox to get it to work for maybe a week? bad idea??

I personally never trusted the towel trick, it just sounds like a way to fuck it up even worse.

Send it in to that guy on ebay, then never buy an xbox off ebay ever again.

Buy a working one from the store, if it breaks, call microsoft complain that its your 2nd-3rd xbox and they'll hook you up with some free shit. Probaly an elite.

yeah I got it registered and requested a repair, they are telling me to ship it in and never listed a price like they did for my Red Ring so I guess its going to be a free fix, but now I am going to miss out on all of the MW2 and Gay Tony fun you guys are going to have in the weeks to come

I told them I have been really frustrated with Microsoft having this been my 3rd new Xbox in 2 months and how they haven't been able to do anything with my errors. LOL! they might toss something my way but idk, this is a big buisness that doesn't really care about customer feedback.

1) Take out hard drive.
2) Clean dust off xbox and hard drive.
3) Put harddrive back on, and if it doesnt work repeat.
4) ???
5) PROFIT

Open up your xbox, and depending on age, the sticker should come off easy enough and be able to be reaplied without and hint of you tearing open your xbox. There is a newer sticker that is nearly impossible to get off, however, I have only seen it on the "nicer" disk drives. When I opened my Xbox I found massive amounts of dust and dirty so get a can of dust off and open it up out side.
It still might not work, but hell if your desperate go for it.

You really think the sticker is the ONLY way they can tell you openned your xbox? That's just there so that they don't have to open it just to see you already did it and avoided the warranty.
