It has been 2 years since the outbreak. Survivors are coming out of the woodwork and creating "settlements." These places serve as safehavens to anyone who can reach them. Some settlements last, others are overrun by the still lurking undead menace.
After running out of fuel for their boat, the survivors decide to dock on the east coast of Algonquin. They discover that one of their own has been infected. After taking refuge at the department of sanitation warehouse the team ventures out to complete their goal - to reach the mythical settlement on Happiness Island. The Island is rumored to be completely safeguarded against the infection. The populace has enough weapons and food to keep them alive for years. Now the only problem is getting there.

Physical Characteristics: Average strength but good with his hands.
Backstory: Was born in Poland. His family was one of the lucky ones and he got out of the country when he was only 6 years old during world war 2. His family made it to the suburban part of liberty city. When he got older he became an electrician soon before the outbreak. Has no experience with guns except for when he was 5 his father let him shoot his handgun once. His business just started to boom when the outbreak occurred

Physical Characteristics: Average build, more strong north of the neck then south, very dis-honest look about him, sniveling you could say.
Backstory/Additional Info: His origins are unknown except for the fact that he worked in the labs complex that helped engineer the virus and the vaccine that caused or was "believed" to have contributed to the infection of Liberty City. He escaped by cowardly running away from a group of survivors who had become trapped inside a burning apartment complex, he could have easily saved them but he is insistent that his own self preservation is infinitely superior to that of anyone else. He is a conniving, sinister, and dark twisted man who will cut the throat of whoever he needs to to survive, he really can't be trusted, but his silver tongue and knowledge of the infection often get him the trust he needs to get into survivor groups.
(I thought this might be a nice character twist for me)

Backstory/Additional Info: Arrested when he was 19 Eric for the possesion of illigeal firearms and murder of 2 men.He was a Hitman for the russian mob in LC.He got into the buissnes when he was only 16.He was serving a double consecutive life sentences until the outbreak hit,the jail was evacuated but Eric was left for dead.He managed to escape but has been living by himself for the past 24 months.He is still not sure if this is a blessing or a curse.

Backstory: When the outbreak first started the LCPD attemted to manage evacuations. Using a variety of vehicles under their control (including NOOSE vehicles). Mike's chopper was one of those assigned to the task. However when a pedestrian succumbed to the infection in the back of Mike's chopper, it wasn't long in till his mighty annihilator lay in a twisted wreck on the ground. Over the duration of two years Mike and his surviving squadmates roamed LC, and over two years Mike also watched the get picked off one by one. Backstory: Life seemed pretty nice for JB through college, but things changed once his opinions got the best of him. He was a respectable boy, a man of medicine, taste, and good friends. This all changed when he let out his bottled theories. Conspiracies, blunt opinions, and so on were spewed from his lips. His opinions were in articles, radio, etc. After the public got to see the real JB, he was shunned from all practices of medicine.
He moved to Liberty City with hope, but found close to nothing. He found himself at rock bottom, and he thought only place to turn to was Liberty's underground crime world. He was a great fighter, and learned how to fire a gun in this time. A year passed and he quit crime, and decided to return to medicine. He returned as an intern and moved up from there. Years passed and the outbreak was spreading. It was a time of anarchy and violence. Doctors and nurses were given weapons to put down infected patients. He managed to survive the beginning.
Two years passed and he realized just how far he has came, but he realized how low he has stooped. He began his survival as a respectable man, but this disease has turned him into a adrenaline-junkie, blood-lusting psychopath.

Back Story: Being an experience man when it came to demolition. Grim was always pick when it came to blowing things to hell. He was even recognized for his stunning CQC skills using all types of SMGs.
Since the outbreak has began Grim just finished his third tour of duty; he had been sent on patrol with his squad to watch over a key bridge leaving an infected city. Due to increasing problems of people trying to leave the city and his leading officer being killed by outrage civilians. He and his squad had to decide on the to options they were given. The one they pick cause them to lose what little morals they had left.

Name: Aaron "Meatshield" Wahl
Age: 34
Race: Caucasian
Occupation: Francis International Jet Pilot
Characteristics: Somewhat strong, but not weak. Short brown hair and green eyes.
Backstory: When the outbreak first began, Aaron had developed a plan. His Co-pilot Martin Jackson, his wife, and him had a private jet waiting at the airport. By the time they got there, Francis International Airport was swarmed with traffic. Aaron unexpectedly went a roaring 70 miles into the heap of waiting cars. His wife didn't make it out alive, but luckily, Martin and Aaron did.
They made it to the jet, but to their surprise, a man was already behind the controls of the aircraft, and he wasn't giving it up. The man took out a gun and pointed it at Martin, but the heroic Co-pilot pounced at the gunman. Aaron watched nervously as the two wrestled for control of the plane. In the end, Martin managed to push the man away, but into Aaron, and they both flew out of the moving plane. It was too late for Aaron and the now unconscious man, the plane was flying away. Aaron could hear his co-pilot calling to him faintly. He could hear him say "You're nothing but a Meatshield now!"
Two years passed since this horrific event, and Aaron has managed to survive, but he has learned an unusual fact. He has developed some sort of a defense towards the infection. He has developed a immune system against the virus, like a shield. He has even manged to fight the infection off after receiving a bite. How is this possible? No one knows, but what he does know is he has to make it Happiness Island.
He must survive.
