some love for the oldies

Seeing as my xbox hasn't been returned yet (it actually should be back in a day or two) I've had more then enough time to reminisce with the consoles a generation below the 360 and all that good stuff. Well the whole purpose of me writing this is to remind you not to forget about your old consoles and to boot them up every once and a while.

I've found in the past week that storming the shores of Kashyyyk with numerous other AI's in Star Wars Battlefront 2, or creeping through some Soviet occupied jungle while looking for food in MGS3, can be amazingly fun. I have even gone an age below this and plugged in my N64 for another playthrough of LoZ (I may even start streaming if somebody I know has a capture card).

In conclusion I highly recomend that you start up your older consoles every now and then. You'd be surprised

actualy i do have one i had on of the first that used to cost 600 bucks when they came out and its still running

I have been playing final fantasy 10 with codebreaker codes and other ps2 games like mgs 3 with all items cheat and I played my nintendo a couple of weeks ago. I was also playing Im not alone on the pc this is me killing a easy boss took like 2 seconds to beat.

I wish I had the codes for MGS3. It's been an absolute bitch trying to get the stealth camo

that and escaping the prison is a bitch on hard mode seeing as they only give you a damn eating utensil to escape

I have also been waiting for this mod for gta adds Twin towers and the marriot hotel the guy whos adding it is french and also another breakthrough for gta modding was made when they discovered how to make custom objects have collision as of previously this was not possible and you could go right through custom objects. Also the french guy has also made an elevator in the twin towers so you will be able to go on the roof and inside of it. He said it almost breaks the height limit I hope it does not looks cool.

Is it possible to import object/texture mods that big onto xbox360 gta4 so others could see it or would you need the mod to see it?

I am not sure all of this is done on the pc with shadow mapper the one and only mapping tool so far. He made the marriot and twin towers in some 3d model designing program called 3dsmax or something. I think they look really good and he also did his own textures. I am not sure if others would be able to see this on the 360 version even if you did add it I am sure it is possible to add it to the xbox version but much easier to do so on the pc. He also had to remove roads and the woolworth building and he is going to move those to a different location. It is also possible to reroute traffic which he did in order to accomodate the new buildings. Here is the thread on gta forums other people are also making new islands and such and with the discovery on how to add collision to custom models there should be much more coming.

Also here is shadowmaper but I doubt any of you guys are going to want to map anything for gta 4 on pc or that you even have it.

i think you probably couldnt see them given if they arent textures from the game(recycled tex.) they wouldnt be rendered on Xbox. Also i see you are playing GTA4 PC right now how does that work(Like how i can look at your xbox gt and see your playing on the PC?).

It is called Games for windows live its like Xbox live but for pc it only supports a few games Gta 4 being one. Sadly we can not play cross platform like on lost planet [Pc can play with xbox 360 players].

I still regularly play PS2 games. Well especially now, since my Xbox broke, but I used to before too.
