So I take it that destroying our planet got rid of our need for art and culture for the moment? However the observing race does kind of have it coming for them...

I believe so......back in the old days Christopher Columbus came across the Atlantic and discovered the Natives. He saw them as a savage and unfit race and over the course of time, they were discrimated against and almost elimated.

For all we know there could be a extra terestrial Columbus on his way here right now. And if we are found, will we be seen as the Native Americans were or will we be worthy in their eyes? What the aliens did in this machinima was reasonable to a point. We are a violent and reckless species that requires vast amounts of resources to sustain our way of life; so naturally when one place begins to run dry we move on to the next. The aliens simply decided to try and stop us before we reached their front door.

That being said, I think as people continue to live we try to make less of an impact on the envirnment, though there will always be people who set this aside because of greed.

Good machinima but nobody ever got anywhere by being nice. Just a message to the aliens. Who even though were peaceful people decided to act in a violent way anyway. Hypocrites.

when it comes to self preservation or the preservation of your species, you have to throw morals out the window. I'm sure you would've done the same in their situation
