Losing Friends.

guys I really just want to ramble on right now but you really do not have to read this. I jsut want to say some stuff and vent. Earlier today I was riding my dirtbike with my friend and his brother. We were having a great time hitting jumps and popping wheelies. Me and this friend have known each other for like a lifetime and were literally blood brothers. We were doing our jumps and then doing there brother rivalries my friends brother hit a jump across the road and started calling him a pussy because he would not do it. I constantly tried to talk my friend out of it because him and I were 14 and his brother was 17, of course he can do stuff we can't. my friend backed up and gunned it. he hit his 5th gear before he got to the jump. right before he hit it his foot got caught in his spokes and really messed him up. He went down in the middle of the road and his bike twisted his foot towards his and his bike landed on him. it completely crushed his ribcage. I dialed 911 and the ambulance came. He was coughing up blood and I knew he punctured his lungs because he was doing that. they loaded him up and told me I could not get in with him because I was a minor. I got into his brothers truck and we rushed to the hospital when we got there we couldn't see him because he was in the Operation room. after about an hour his parents came and all of us were in tears. I couldn't think straight. I constantly tell myself that it is my fault. what felt like 45 minutes later the operation doctor came out with teary eyes. my best friend died on the operation table. the bike crushed his ribcage and sent his ribs into his heart and lungs. Sorry for putting this on the site you guys but I just don't know were else to vent or talk. He was my best friend. He helped me get my first girlfriend. We won dirtbike races together, Hell we even cheated for each other on our Algebra exams. I am really sorry for rambling and talking around but I just have no other place to go. I will say right now I will still be at Zombies tonight, I just might not say more than 2 words unless questioned.

sorry you guys i just feel like I should add more. If you really think that I am kidding then you are wrong. when he crashed he was just laying there making really loud moaning sounds. I guess he didn't scream because he just couldn't summon the air too. but he just layed there. his brother and I ran to him. I took his helmet off and held his neck straight. this was before i called 911 and then while holding his neck I dialed. we were on an old fire station service road maybe 75 yards from the main road and the amulance pulled up and told us they couldn't get the stretcher or there vehicle down the road. his brother, me, and an EMS guy picked him up and carried him the 75 yards onto a stretcher. they carried him to the fire station and stopped, they said that he was in Critical condition and needed to go to roanoke (a hosital an hour away) now keep in mind this other stuff on my previous one was in that hospital. the helicopter came. it landed in the baseball field behind the fire station. at this point he was in and out of consiousnes and any doctor people out there would know that passing out with a possible concussion could be fatal. but they kept him concious with little shock pads on his forearms. i guess you guys could just connect this to the first part if you want...

Most important thing in this kind of situation is to not blame yourself. It obviously wasn't your fault, you even tried to stop him. It's not your fault that his brother kept pushing him.

And if you talk to his brother about it, don't say it was his fault, he already knows it. Even though it was his fault, he suffers from the consequenses too. And there is no denying it was his fault so the stuff going on through his head right now will probably haunt him to the grave.

Death is always unfortunate, hope you recover from this soon and keep on going.

there is just no getting by it. every time I am with my girlfriend I will think about it, riding my dirt bike i will think about him, playing MW2 I will think about him, taking a test I will think about him. fuck my other friends won't even stop bugging me. I'm cutting my phone off,

It happenned today, did it? So no wonder you can't take it off your mind... It'd be a miracle if you did... That, or you'd have to be one stone cold hearted person, but seeing what you wrote I see you obviously aren't.

It's hard to hear things like this, but we should be happy that he is in a better place. Let's hope he rests in peace.

damn dude, i feel sorry for u. it is key to spend as much time with the people you love or like cause at any given day, they could be gone. don't think its ur fault, just remember hes in a better place now, he doesn't have to suffer no more.

... He had family too, didn't he? You said you were practically blood brothers, so his family must feel just as same as you are feeling right now, so atleast you're not alone.

Don't worry dude; you'll be find eventually. Remember the good times and cherish them well.

I guess the best thing to do is to is to try and think of death as a mindset and see this as stronger experience for you.

hey guy im really sorry to hear about that. when someone dies, its hard. i recently lost one of my best friends when he was killed by an intoxicated driver. it hurts. but this is what my buddies mom told me:
