that wasnt police brutality. that was him being an asshole. i get to go to court for police brutality in may after i was tackled and tazered by a police office just for running from him when he tried to give me a ticket for being on the LRT without paying. that is police brutality

Interesting. But can you get fired for that (the cop was fired)? And the cop did have a loaded gun drawn and pointed at the woman.. for speeding. Was it really just that?..

(note I am just being a "devils advocate" here, to get you thinking. The above does not necessarily express my viewpoint on this issue)

Seeing as I'm all for the police and I believe there is no point in challenging the police unless you have a damn good reason, I just don't care about these things.

Police are humans too you know. But sometimes that professionalism doesn't happen. The first video is a mix of a Police officer being very suspicious seeing as this car doesn't stop for 8 miles? Pull over immediately lady. But he's being an asshole as well.

2nd video I don't know how to explain it. I sure don't like the girl saying "I don't like police they put my brother in jail". Which (not being racist or anything) judging the way she talks and that her brother is black tells me they don't come from good backgrounds.

Don't run from the Police. If you run they can expect anything from you. For all you know, they could have thought you had weapons or illegal substances on you. Don't take this offensively but if I were a Police Officer (which I'm applying for a job after the military) I would have done the same thing.

eustinn, i have to say. That one IS police brutality. simple as that.

I don't like the way the police acted in either in them. However,

The first one could have been avoided if the woman just stopped when the cop started after her. Then when he was yelling at her to get out of the car, she should have gotten out of the car.

The second was just a BS move by the cop. At no time was mace needed.

Oh, and eaustinn, a reply to what you asked on the first post. Yes. But in a professional manner. Not this "I'M FUCKING PISSED AND I'M GOING TO KILL THE FIRST LIVING THING I SEE." attitude. If you're really serious, you might want to look up a few New York laws. At least ones that would be of use in the "Life" roleplay game.

I didnt watch the videos cuz its a school computer but, if a cop draws a gun on somebody it should only be because the "suspect(s)" is endangering the lives of others. Now if someone is speeding DANGEROUSLY the police should do what they see fit to stop them. As police we trust them to make life and death situations. They are people too, with really hard jobs.

Actually have you hand on your holster with anyone. A Police Officer's job isn't routine. You never know what people are going to do.

There's no such thing as police brutality.

Not saying you shouldnt but thats not really what i said. He drew on the women when she was clearly stopped. He shouldnt of acted the way he did.
