none of the mods are on the drive, their done to the actual console's memory core. My uncle has a friend that mods any system for 30 bucks.

Even better, if it Red rings, since the warrenty is broken, the guy will fix it($35) or give you a new Modded system(+$75) if he can't

Waa..? The hard drive cannot let you play burnt games. You need to install a different firmware on the drive itself or maybe "jtaging" it would some how manage to do it but I doubt it. And the RRoD fix is a $7-$10 job. I bought some more hard ware and I am fixing a couple now (bought on ebay for less than $20 each) and probably end up selling them for like $50-$70 depending if I decide to flash one of the drives.
In any case, are you sure it is on the "memory core"? Like hard drive?

it's not on the hard drive. Its in the system itself.

That is fine but, I am sure it is on the drive. It doesn't matter though. I was just looking for some incite on how to mod one of the hardest drives in the whole fucking world... That stupid Hitachi v79. Fuck you Korea or Japan. You suck almost as bad as M$ does.

Lol true but, it really is hard to break. It is tough to break (electronically) and usually not hard, especially those who are some what computer savvy. But, I do understand why you wouldn't want to open it up.

I used to own a Quantex with like 40mb ram and an original hard drive memory of like 50 but, I got a great deal on new egg and bought me self a 1 terabyte hard drive and my friend gave me a few sticks of 1 and 2gbs of ram. Sadly, the war horse died after trying to upgrade it to XP from Windows. That and I hadn't scanned if for malware after about a couple thousand ~~porn~~ music and movies torrents.

I have 2 other computers too, I hardly use the one with Win2K. Right now I'm on the one with XP, 1GB ram, 200GB hard drive, 2,80GHz dual core and a 512MB nVidia.

Then there's one with Ubuntu, which I mainly use for watching movies on the 38" TV. If I remember correctly, 512MB ram, 40GB hard drive, 2,20Ghz(?) and a 256MB Radeon.

They're all pretty much shit, but considering they don't make good games for PC anymore, I don't need a better computer. Runs Call of Duty 2 and Battlefield 2 just fine, and that's about all I need... Oh, and got Fallout 3 GOTY working on absolute minimum settings, so I don't have to pay anything to see what the DLC is like.
