Earthquake In Ontario Canada

So about 2 days ago a massive earthquake struck Ontario Canada, where I live. It was felt as far as New York according to various news channels. I myself felt it, at the time of the earthquake, I was playing Red Dead Redemption with some buddies and the couch I was sitting on began to shake. One of my friends said "Yo my couch is shaking" and me along with all of my other friends replied with the same thing. It was a very interesting and kind of scary experience. Fortunately it was only a 5.5 rated earthquake and nobody was killed, another fortunate thing is that there was no aftershocks. Everyone was very surprised because we never have had a earthquake down here in Ontario. Another thing is that on the same day a tornado touched down in Barrie, Ontario, which is about an hour away from where I live.

The world is ending.

ya know San Andreas has been due for a 8.0+ Earthquake for almost 100 years now

I'm in upstate new york; didn't feel a thing

Ya im in Toronto and I felt the Earthquake. At first I thought it was construction (people were working all around me) but then I realized it couldn't be. I was playing MW2 and everything started to shake. It wasn't to bad but It was definitely frighting.

San Andreas is a real place? I didn't know that. Thought is was a place made up.

It's a transform fault in California... I think there's a town named after the fault too.

yeah Calgary got a tornado warning around the same time

Calgary never gets tornado's and never has

hopefully the earthquakes will stay on the east coast

Ya i felt it too and im in montreal.Wasn't anything really amazing though,didn't even notice it because my music was shaking the ground more then the quake till my friend pointed it out.Nothing to worry about i guess
