Hostage Rescue - New Community Game
This is a capture-the-flag type gametype with a human flag. It will work in an Offense/Defense scenario. Teams will switch after a round.
Offensive Team
-Offensive Goal: Recapture their kidnapped VIP from the enemy base and relocate him back to home base
-Seven offenders, one VIP
-Sniper may be restricted if the defender's base is too open or if use of a sniper unbalances the game.
Defensive Team
-Defensive Goal: Protect the prisoner VIP and prevent the Offensive Team from recapturing him
-Eight defenders
-Sniper may be restricted if the defender's base is too enclosed or fortified.
VIP/Hostage
-VIP will be tied upon arriving at the location. He will be forced to comply with the Defending Team.
-VIP will not be allowed to inform either team of the other's plans.
-VIP cannot inform his team of his location in the base.
-VIP can only move once the Offending team have reached him and yell "I have untied the hostage"
-VIP cannot run off on his own.
-VIP cannot fire or fight back at the opposing team.
Weapon Restrictions
-Tier 1: AR-15, AK-47, or Uzis
-Tier 2: Shotguns
-Tier 3: Sniper or Explosive
-Sidearm: Glocks
Rules
-One life
-Once you have died, you are to vacate the game area. Killing a dead person or the other way around is strictly prohibited.
-No shooting out of vehicles
-Only allowed one primary of the Tier you choose.
-One Tier 3 per team. Snipers may be restricted for either team based on location
-Game will begin once both teams are ready. Deaths beforehand will not count.
-Game will end if the VIP dies, reaches the Offending base, or if everyone on either team dies. Whatever team kills the VIP loses.
-No supercars, helicopters, or RPGs.

-Auto-Aim off
-Friendly Fire off
-Police off
-Duration: $1000. After one team is eliminated, the score will be at $800. Killing the dead team twice more will return the game back to lobby.
-Morning and Clear
-Blips on Team
-Gamertag Display on, Reticle Health on

So we can't use land vehicles, or is that just a typo? If not, then why even mention no supercars?
Otherwise, looks great. Simular to that hitman topic somewhat, but nevertheless unique.

It was a typo. No sea or air vehicles. It'd be a bit cheap if you were able to transport the hostage by air.

Think it needs precautions to make sure it doesn't end up just like a TDM match. Maybe a certain number of lives.

One way would be the VIP has to drive their own car with the other agents in a following car to guard him. the VIP has to obey the agents directions.

I was actually thinking the opposite.
The Agents escort the VIP around (as if the "president") as the VIP rides in the back (possibly in the Maybach?). That is of course, if he is to be transported. The VIP should obey the Agents commands (generally) for his own safety.

I really like this. Maybe the only thing that's iffy is limiting the lives. Could we meet the same ends by putting respawn time on 10, distance on Far?

i sorta like the lives deal... it'll make all the players be more dependent on cover and tactic other than just straight up spray.. oh and a few prob obvious but just checking

Maybe just do it in a Free Mode. One team will be wearing the same outfit (?) that way u can transport the VIP in your vehicle. nd are the blips off?

No, free mode doesn't work because of voice chat. It's always on All

The original ruleset turned out to be crap. We had a lot of fun with the revised ruleset. Updated in OP.
