Movie recommendation

I just got done watching Equilibrium and I have to say, it is pretty cool. I don't want to say too much about the story line (lazy, if mega king watches it, he can write his own summary ) other than it takes a page out of Fahrenheit 451 and goes with the idea of unity and no human emotions. And on top of that, there is quite a few scenes that quench your thirst for some kick-ass mindless violence.

My score would be a 7.5/10. Not so much as a deep movie and some minor plot flaws really annoy me as well as the constant fist pumping techno. However, the theme is good enough, the acting is great based off of how hard it must have been to be emotionless but, full of emotion at the same time, and the action is gorgeous. Its well choreographed and just bad ass all around.

I agree with Master, American History X is Edward Norton's best performance. Go watch it now. As a side note don't watch the trailer I feel like it spoils a few things

I recommend "The Hurt Locker" it's a great movie in my opinion.

Ah sweet thread. Wish I had come across this last night when I was trying to think of a movie to rent. I'll definitely check equilibrium out. I also would recommend Hurt Locker, fucking awesome movie. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, Dumb and Dumber, Gladiator, and Troy are some of my other favorites in case anybody else was wanting movie ideas.

Like Super said Shawshank Redemption is a great movie as is Troy and American History X. Another great movie is Law Abiding Citizen.

I'm into both Old war series and movies along with modern warfare.. I liked band of brothers, the pacific and generation kill series wise (HBO mini series).

movies I watched black hawk down the other day again and realized how good a movie that was. Green Zone recently released on DVD with Matt Damon was a lot more than I expected and I really liked that. The Kingdom with Denzel Washington was another good one based on terrorism. I know these are some pretty obvious movies but there some of my favorites and I just wanted to put there names out there.

Also Nic Cages best movie performance I think would be Lord of War its about a gun runner and what not.. i gave that like a 9.2 in my head

Never back down was average, it was an MMA modern style to the karate kid IMO. I forgot to mention The Hurt Locker in my military selection, it was a good one but got sort of repetetive in plot, disarm this disarm that, Saving Private Ryan another good one but most everybody has seen that
