Fable III Thoughts?

Aside from the annoyingly loud "background" music, the game looks pretty good. It should be a pleasant surprise for me since I've never played a fable game, I always came short of buying them because of Moleyneux's empty promises. But since this is the third I might as well pick it up. I haven't been following the game too closely but I feel as if there wasn't any true gameplay shown. Also I remember way back they were talking about how everyones weapon is unique to them, how your gamerscore and profile stats affect how your weapons look. Then after this we heard nothing about it, so I hope its still in the game.

Anyway, what do you guys think about Fable 3? Are you going to pick it up? Any comments on the series as a whole?

Meh, I've always had a pretty mixed opinion on Fable. I enjoy alot of the Moleyneux's stuff, he has a pleasant perspective on things and it's pretty refreshing, but the Fable games never really sucked me in. They had alot of cool game mechanics, but I never really experienced anything that would convince me into buying any of them.

I dunno', I enjoy RPG games like Fable, but when there isn't multiplayer (Not counting cooperative) I have alot expect and I don't think Fable 3 will deliver.

Fable 2 was one of my favourite games and Fable 3 looks like it's going to be even better. I like the idea of a revolution and am glad that they've updated the co-op. But, like Cry said the game would be better with the inclusion of multiplayer.

Still though, a definite buy for me.

Yea I agree. When you have a game where the only thing packaged is a single player campaign, it needs to be good enough for me to buy. And that means REPLAY VALUE. Replay value is one of the biggest things for me in a game. So Fable III better warrant multiple playthroughs.

I don't think he's saying Fable III needs multiplayer, he's just saying that the game needs to be able to stand up on its single player legs. Multiplayer in a game like this would only ruin it. Even co-op is sketchy.

Fable III is going to be one of those games that I love, but only want to rent. I suggest the same because of re-playability issues because of a lack of Multiplayer. However; it is one of the best and innovative RPG's I've played. I love their choice system that actually rewards you will for being evil, and generally makes the game much more difficult if you are good.

Fable, no replay value, fgfshd

I replayed Fable 2 for around 10 times and always found something new... I still want to go back and explore it a little.

That said, I'm getting Fable III as soon as I can. I'm a littel sceptical about some of the new things they've added, but everything else looks EPIC!

I didn't say it didn't have any. I've replayed it a couple of times, but the addition of Multiplayer is starting to become something that makes me want to buy a game more nowadays. It's still a great game.

I was referring to everyone in this thread. Pretty much everyone is questioning the replay value.

I guess my requisites for a good single player RPG are a little High, considering I was brought up on the Final Fantasy games.

Fable 3 is a definite buy for me, I loved Fable 2, played through it two times and just loved everything about it, I kno Fable 3 will be even better

i liked fable 2 alot i got a LEAST a good 50 hours of solid ( close the blinds shut & lock your door and ignore the outside world ) kind of gameplay hours outa it so i will be getting Fable 3 like a month after it comes out so i can save like $10 - $15 but i still want the new elder scrolls to be on 360 WHEN it DOES FINALLY come out

So far I've been hearing good things about Fable 3, that it probably going to be really good....
But it not my type of game.

Yes, maybe everyone will enjoy games more if they don't worry about them being exactly the same...

Hmmmm....

Even if fable 3 turns out bad it will still turn out better than medal of honor because they actually redid the gameplay and concept of it.

Fable 3 will probably be a good game, I liked the others, but I don't think I'll be buying it.

Well, now that I finally own Fable 2 (thanks for that error in price for digital download Micro$oft) I'm actually excited for Fable 3. I'm gonna rent it though, doesn't mean it's not a good game but I've been disappointed by both Fable 1 and 2 specifically because Peter Molyneux. He means well but talks out of his ass sometimes. I've tried to not watch as much for Fable 3 and I think only like 3 dev diaries have come out anyway.
