This is the final worked out ruleset for the CRSR game-type.

Disclaimer: This has nothing to do with Life RP. The only "similar" thing is the concept of a wanted level.

Basically here is the sum (details later):

- played on GTA4 Original (due to better less explosive weapons)

- Respawn time, 30 seconds, far (for dramatic effect)

- Everyone has 1 Life per match

- Game time will last 30 minutes, 10 minute setup (if the cop team is not ready after 10 (everyone in a car), the crime will start anyways)

- Blips on ALL, voice chat on Proximity

- Team Deathmatch, two teams:

Cops Team - Composed of majority of lobby. In a full match with 16 people, 12 will be cops. Their job is to take down the criminals based on the crime. As the duration of the match continues, the "wanted level" will increase over time to eventually 6 STARS. All players on this team must be in a cop car at all times, or within 50 feet of one (initially at least). Everyone on the team will start off with their own cop car. If one is destroyed during the match, you may NOT get another one. You must either continue on foot, or enter another persons police vehicle. So.. no taking any civilian vehicles; the LCPD cars you have to start are the ones you have to work with. You may shoot out of your windows in a car at the robber team with GLOCKS ONLY (no smg's). SMG's may be used on foot however (when you reach the appropriate wanted level).

Every cop is allowed their glock, a shotgun, and their choice of either an SMG or Assault Rifle or Sniper Rifle or RPG (so 3 weapons total). **NOTE: Only 1 person may choose the RPG, and can only be used on 6 STARS. The Sniper Rifle can only be used at 5 and 6 STARS.


Robbers Team - Up to 4 people on this team (mainly so all can fit into 1 vehicle if necessary). As for weapons, see the general list below. Glocks for everyone come standard. The weapons may be distributed however the team desires. There must be at least 2 robbers (so 2 to 4 total, depending on lobby size):

- 4 people - up to 2 SMG's, 2 assault rifles, and 1 shotgun is allowed.

- 3 people - up to 2 SMG's, 1 assault rifle, and 1 shotgun is allowed.

- 2 people - up to 1 SMG, 1 assault rifle, and 1 shotgun is allowed.

The robbers basic goal is to get away from the police by whatever means necessary. They may shoot out of their windows if in a car, at the police team.

***NOTE: If the weapon wasn't mentioned (like grenades or Desert Eagles), it is NOT allowed.


** Everyone starts the game with 1 Life, and 1 life only. If you die, you are to leave the area (preferably head to happiness island). So cop team be warned: your numbers may be high, but your defenses weaker. Remember, when in a car, you can't use your SMG, but the robbers can, so keep your distance.

Since it is a team deathmatch, there is no arresting anyone. The game will end when one of 4 conditions is reached:

1. The entire cop team has been wiped out
2. The entire robber team has been wiped out
3. The "safe zone" has been reached and defended by the robbers
4. The time has run out (if the time runs out, it is assumed that the Cops team wins for preventing the Robbers from reaching their destination).

** For the cop team, weapons are initially restricted. Depending on the scenario (bank robbery, car jacking, etc..) the pursuit will start at 1 - 3 STARS wanted level. A 1 STAR start is "easy mode", 2 STARS medium, 3 STARS hard. There is also an "Expert" difficultly, in which is the exact same as hard, only the cop team has unlimited lives. Every 5 minutes in game, the wanted level will go up by 1 STAR. Note that for minor crimes, the wanted level will not reach the max.

- For the "Easy" difficulty, if the robber kills at least 1 cop early (before the 15 minute mark (there is 20 minutes total of playing time)), the wanted level will increase to 2 STARS early. So for example, a robber kills a cop at the 18 minute mark. Since it is easy mode, from 20 to 15 minutes in game, you are at 1 STAR. Now since a cop is dead (at the 18 minute mark), it is a 2 STAR pursuit. Once the game reaches the 15 minute mark, it is still 2 STARS. It will go to 3 STARS as normal at 10 minutes, so the 2 STARS just comes early.

Note that the "difficulties" change the restrictions for the cops team, the robbers stay the same. You will notice that the cops are generally underpowered on easy, and overpowered on hard. Here are the 4 difficulty's again, with a layout of each:

Easy - Start at 1 STAR, game ends at 4 STARS (in the last 5 minutes). NO body armor.

Medium - Start at 2 STARS, game ends at 5 STARS. NO body armor.

Hard - Start at 3 STARS, game ends at 6 STARS. Body Armor Allowed.

Expert - Start at 3 STARS, game ends at 6 STARS. Body Armor Allowed. Cop Team has unlimited lives.

**If body armor is "allowed", then it is allowed for both teams. If not, neither team can use it.


Here is an example for a 30 minute game, medium difficulty:

30-20 minutes, setup time (both teams must be in position at 20 minute mark)

20-15 minutes, begin pursuit on 2 STARS (at 15 minute mark "safe zone" revealed to robbers)

15-10 minutes, 3 STARS

10-5 minutes, 4 STARS

5-0 minutes, 5 STARS


Here are the police general restrictions:

- 1 STAR - Just Chasing, no shooting (can run them over or ram vehicle)
- 2 STARS - can now shoot with glocks only on foot
- 3 STARS - can now shoot out of car with glocks, can use shotgun on foot
- 4 STARS - can now use SMG on foot and annihilator (if there is one) can start shooting. Passengers in all helis can now shoot with whatever they want.
- 5 STARS - can now use Assault Rifle and Sniper Rifle on foot
- 6 STARS - can now have 1 cop use an RPG


Robbers can shoot with whatever they want off the start.

As for Helis, 1 annihilator and 1 maverik is allowed on the cop team, but is not required. The robbers team may not use a helicopter. Boats are off-limits for both teams. Super cars are also off-limits for everyone, and only the cops can use police cruisers (so robbers can't get in them).

As for the heli: this counts as a vehicle, meaning passengers can only shoot glocks out of the side. However (as mentioned above), once 4 STARS is reached, when the chopper can use its chain-gun, any weapon may be fired out the side (like an AR-15). Also, the heli can NOT use its blades or frame at any time to kill the robbers.

** The robber team (upon the start of the game) will not know where the safe zone is. During the 20 minutes of actual gameplay, the robbers must initially drive around trying to stay alive. After 5 minutes in, the host (eaustinn36) will call the robber team (even though I will be a cop) and inform them of the safe zone. The robber team can then proceed to that safe zone. The safe zone can range anywhere from the Abandoned Casino in North Alderney to the Airport in Dukes/Broker. Since I will be calling someone, the robber team must appoint a "leader" off the start to call the shots and receive the call.

NOTE: After I call the robbers to inform of the safe zone, I will NOT tell the police team! The cop team won't know where your going, but blips (as mentioned above) are on ALL: so you can run, but you can't hide. Also, once you reach the safe zone, you must defend it for at least 5 minutes, or the remainder of the game if less than 5 minutes remain (so going there first might not be the best idea). If the robbers can do this, they win.


The Easy-Expert Scenarios will be decided and announced by me (eaustinn36) in the lobby. Once a scenario is selected, it will be played out. I will be open to new scenario ideas.

Using a "bank robbery" as an example: All criminals will start at any LC bank. Cops start at any police station (can be nearest). Once setup time has ended, the robbers can "roleplay" a "cutscene" where the bank is being robbed if you want (the cops wont hear it though), and then leave when ready. Then the "driving around for 5 minutes" starts, and so on. At the 15 minute mark, you will receive the phone call.

NOTE: The robbers always start at the scenario point of interest, and the cops always start at any police station.

I will try to generally do at least 4 matches, so everyone in the lobby is a robber at least once.

I have a feeling that this could get very boring if you die early on and no one else does for the whole game.

Without setup time, games are only 15 mins. If you do die early, you can probably hang out on happiness island with some other people who have died too. If your the only one... well.. that stinks for you then. Just dont do anything too risky off the start. You probably can get more aggressive toward the end anyways (when the wanted level is higher).

It's just like zeds though, in the fact that survivors have 1 life, then they must sit out the game if they die. Same with other games like "Traitor" or "Hostage Rescue". It's not really a new concept (the 1 life thing).

Yea i know the 1 life thing isn't new and traitor is what i was thinking of at the time. When you die in traitor it takes soooooooo long (or feels like it anyway) for the game to end or another person to die so it can get boring sometimes.

idk what you're talking abut erik those rulse seem pretty thought out, how is this going to take a month so figure out and setup? it sounds like if you wanted ( id like to ) you could try it out today. With new gametypes trial and error helps ya know...

eaustinn im going to try to be there for this tonite but I have one question about it, does the crime you commit determine your number of stars or does it just automatically go up in the time frames (like nazi zombies, the longer you last the more difficult it gets) other than the whole automatic increase in the beginning for killing a cop

Well.. the game was last night as listed on the calendar.

As for your question: The crime you commit is pre-determined in the lobby. Based on that crime, your starting wanted level will be different. However, it will increase 1 star every 5 minutes regardless. So the crime you commit only determines the starting star level, after that is time based.
