Kinect Reviews are in!

I am still pretty skeptical. Though, I am happy someone is making at least an attempt for hardcore gaming for Kinect. Then again, the games, based off the trailers, look like crap. I don't know, still to early to call but, at least there is a possible reason for me to buy the Kinect in later years.

still not gonna get it. I'll stick to my wired controllers.

I'm off to school right now so wont go into detail, but Kinect recieves a 7.5/10, and pretty much all of the games score 7's, with exception to Dance Central and Kinect Sports which recieved 8's.

I just got it its pretty fun I only got Kinectimals and might I say it is a 10/10

Did you also get inglorius bastards the game, I heard that got good reviews as well,

Ill probably get the scary games I mean playing kinectimals for a week straight its gonna get kindof boring

I bought a xbox360 over a Wii for a reason, because I hate the wii. I honestly do not understand why microsoft is trying to copy a bad console imo.

xbox is slowly losing everything that made it unique. Oh well, at least i'll have Playstation to fall back on....

Don't see how? Xbox live is the only thing that makes xbox unique and its as strong as ever. Microsoft ADDED something to the console, we aren't losing anything, its still our choice not to get it.

I doubt they'll ever force you to buy connect. You already have your xbox, they aren't going to limit you if you don't have motion control. The only thing you'll be limited from is awesome games like kinectimals. Now that I know microsofts true aim with kinect (family gaming) I see no serious developers taking a shot at it. Maybe next console when motion control is 1:1.

I see Kinect being a flop. It will make some decent sales and Microsoft probably has plans for it later on but, for now, let it dissipate.
I wan't to psyched about it when I saw the first commercials for it. To my knowledge, there hasn't been a single skateboarding game released, which was one of the first games shown with Kinect. The point being, there was a lot of fake hype behind Kinect. From what I have seen, it is an eye-toy with some upgraded features (mic, slightly better motion sensing). I am almost positive they did this on purpose.
They probably ended up seeing PlayStation making a move on "motion sensing entertainment, so Microsoft through a camera and a mic together, spent a little bit of money making it a huge thing in order to battle against PlayStation. They also wanted to bring back the idea of "controller=body" gameplay, in order to make them seem like they are way ahead in the motion sensing technology field. Not a bad move, just an annoying one.
To further prove my point, here is some "FPS" footage of Kinect. There is no way a multi-trillion dollar computer company let something like this out for the public to play without having a reason behind it.
