How to upgrade to a 250 GB HDD for 360

If you know the price of hard drives today, you know that M$ overcharges nearly double on the actual worth of the drive. $130+ for a 250 GB drive that costs <$55 on newegg.com
So, rather than paying that much for a hard drive that is soon going to be deemed pathetic once the double digit terabyte drives are released, I decided to do some digging on se7ensins and found this thread. Normally, you would get baned instantly with tampered with HDD on xbox live. However, I guess the formating or type of hard drive that you could use, has been changed.
On several forms, this has been said to be a success. People have done it before the slim and are still doing it. There has been almost no reports of bans (some people try and make forms look bad by spamming them with false claims). The biggest complaint is the limit of only 250GB, but paying only $50 for something that is "worth" $130 used or more new is good enough for me.

tl;dr Instead of paying a shit ton for more memory, you pay less than $50 which is about $80+ from M$ retail price.

The site is well known and can be trusted. All it takes is some free time. They also host free modded lobbies, which you can inquire about within the site.

I didn't know that Se7enSins.com did anything besides Halo mods.

tl;dr, but you can just plug in a USB-storage device and format it on the Xbox. I don't know if it'll work like a regular Xbox HDD, or if it only lets you use it for saves...

Just like regular HDDs, but I only use one for saves.

I've been using Seven sins for a while, but I didn't know they were working with the hardrives.

It only allows you to hold pictures, and videos.

I brought this up because, a) it is related to Xbox, b) there are some computer savvy people, and c) I am trying to save you money. This is general discussion.

Also, se7ensins does a bunch of shit. I don't know when it started, when I found it awhile ago they had 2 games that they had tutorials for.

I wasn't saying you shouldn't have brought it up. Quite the contrary actually. I was just saying that people usually talk about much more than what the forum is deticated to.
