Seeing as the holiday isn't anything really THAT special its stupid to say its retarded, you simply spend a day with family and eat a shit load of turkey. So yeah it it doesn't matter its so close to Christmas cuz its not that special.

umm i don't know about you but i don't spend "flag day, arbor day, and labor day, with my family, and those are all holidays. So i guess he didn't describe every holiday.

Yeah, and if someone has the habit of murdering someone on new years eve, that doesn't mean people normally do that sort of stuff. Just because you don't do something, doesn't mean other people normally don't do it either.

Besides, christmas is pretty much the only holiday I spend with my family these days. That doesn't change the way I feel about, for example, easter being a family holiday for an average ("normal") family.

Do you guys have to be against stuff? I just posted this to say it to those that I guess in your case care. So, it's not that big of a deal to some, but to others it's a time to be with family that they haven't seen for a long time.
