Resident Evil: Afterlife
Finally saw this movie earlier this week.
The opening scene, Mika Nakashima standing in the rainy streets of Tokyo. Really compelling scene, which got my hopes up for the movie. Probably the only succesful slowmotion scene in the whole movie. The song choice was spot on for this scene!
Rest of the soundtrack was really fitting for the sci-fi corridors of Umbrella, but for some reason they used the same style of music for peaceful outdoor shots too, which didn't fit at all.
After the opening there was that infamous 10 minute action sequence, full of broken slowmotion and horrible fighting choreography. That scene crushed all my hopes for the movie, right after getting them up with that opening.
All the fight scenes look like music videos (especially the one against the Executioner from Re5), and nothing like a real movie.
The plot was shit, and you could see the twists coming from a mile away. Dialogue and acting was about as good as the plot too.

Despite this movie being devoid of any real chance at entertaining an audience, you decided to go anyway because....?

Someone had downloaded it at our school campus and asked me and some other people to come and see it, and so I did because I had nothing better to do.
What, you actually thought I would pay for this piece of carbage?
