Hello there.

As I'm sure you're aware, Undead-Xbox is full of talented young writers, of nearly every capacity and influence. I've seen some extraordinary examples of literature and phenomenal feats of story progression, and I'd love to see more.

So, I propose a game.

The objective, is to write a brief tale of any UX member of your choosing, make this tale epic, immersive, gripping and Legendary!

And then Kill them off in either the most embarrassing, or most Epic, way imaginable. The winner will receive the spotlight in my own brief story.

What are you waiting for? Go!

Post  oO Coggy Oo 7th December 2010, 8:22 pm

They awoke in a pitch black cave. The floor was bitterly cold and a sickening stench lingered in the stale air. They clammered to their feet quickly; frantically looking for any kind of clue as to where they were, and how they got there.

"Jesus Christ man, what the fuck are we doing in here?" exclaimed Super.
"I don't even know where "here" is." Eagle muttered in a confused, yet worried tone.
"Last thing I remember was being tied to a radiator in a room full of decapitated dolls' heads."
"Wait, what?"
"Nevermind."
"Let's just try and find a way out of here, alright?"

They scrambled around for a while, until they managed to notice a faint, white light towards the far end of the cave.

"Hey, maybe we should go over there, towards that light?"
"Or...we could wander off aimlessly in the opposite way, towards those big, red eyes."
"Err... Sure, why not?" replied Eagle, hesitantly.

The duo skipped off towards the opposite end of the cave. Blissfully unaware as to what they were about to discover.

"Hey man, what's that thing?"
"Looks like a giant...cushion or something."
"Hey. Y-you think we should go throw rocks at it?"
"Sure!"

They both reached into the bag of rocks that they just happened to be carrying around with them, and proceeded to pelt the "cushion" with them.

"Gee whillickers, that was fun!"
"I know rig-. Wait. Why's it moving?"
"Is..is that a spider?"
"It sure looks like one."
"Should...should we pet it?"
"Oh gawd! It's all fuzzy and warm!"
"Can we keep him?
"We should call him Bren-agh!"

The spider turned on Super, and proceeded to maul him.

"Well, that was unexpected."
"H-h-help me!" croaked Super, gasping for breath as he choked and spluttered on his own blood.

Eagle deperately searched the cave floor for something to fend the spider off with.
"Err...err...err."
"I'm dyin' over here."
"I've got it!"

Eagle found a poorly fashioned spear, laying on a rock near the spider.
"Unhand him, foul beast! Or, I shall be forced to end your pathetic life!"
Eagle furiously jabbed at the spider with the spear; this accomplished near to nothing.

The spider wiped its pincers, and then leapt towards Eagle. Eagle tried to run - to no prevail. The spider was far too quick, and was able to easily ovecome him. The spider charged towards Eagle at breakneck-speed and ripped him in half with its massive pincers. The spider finished off Super, and then fell asleep on top of him.

The End

And so ends the epic tale of our two heroes.

There was this guy. He was really cool and stuff. Killed lots of people and stuff. Was really brave and stuff. And then there was this other guy who wasn't so great and stuff. This guy got really lucky and killed the other guy. But then a random boulder killed that guy.

Post  JumpingSNIPA 7th December 2010, 9:33 pm

The group woke up on a stranded beach. They were known as Bladewind, Flasktoss, JumpingSNIPA, and Garquin.

"Where are we?" Flask said.

"How the hell am I supposed to know!" Yelled Bladewind.

"OH GOD WE'RE GONNA DIE!!!" JumpingSNIPA panicked.

"Wait what is that over there?" said Garquin pointing to a large valley. Garquin took charge and led the group to the valley. They traveled to the valley unaware of what might happen. Flask, being a survivalist, taught the group how to survive and create tools needed for a shelter. The team went off to work.

They worked night and day creating a small village and after many weeks, succeeded. They lived peacefully for many days, fishing, hunting pigs and searching for firewood. The team ran out of wood so they had to travel out of the valley for the first time in a while. Today it was JumpingSNIPA's turn to gather wood. He went out of the valley thinking that nothing was out there except for him and his companions.

While cutting down wood JumpingSNIPA heard a noise somewhere in the forest. Various noises were clawing at him from the dark unknown so he decided he had enough wood to last a week or two. Walking back to the village he heard more noises in the night getting closer and closer.

"GRRRRRR." The noises came even louder and he started to run quickly. Back at the village the group was eating cooked pig meat.

"Has anyone thought about how we got here in a while?" Bladewind asked.

"Not really, it's just something you get used to," said Garquin.

"Yeah, who really-----"

"AHHHHHH!!!"

"That sounded like SNIPA!," exclaimed Bladewind.

"Quick, grab some torches and let's go," said Garquin. The team traveled out of the valley towards the screams that kept getting quieter. They finally got to the source of the screams and found the chewed up body of JumpingSNIPA.

"Holy shit!"

"What could've done this?" said Flask examining the body. It had bite marks all over the bleeding corpse. They burried the body being aware of what's out in the wilderness. Weeks passed after the boy's death and everyone was enjoying the night sky. After the passesd events they have created weapons and armor to protect themselves. One day the three members were off doing their daily jobs of mining and farming when a noise was heard.

"BOING!" Flask and Garquin went to investigate the noise and saw a Bladewind stuck to a wall by an arrow through his head. More days have passed and the last 2 members were barricading themselves in a mineshaft. They dug deeper for more protection from what lies above the ground. Mining even deeper, the remaining of the team fall into a dark cavern. They use torches to light their way through the cavern but unaware of the silent killers behind them.

The remaining two travel onward still unaware of what stalks them. They finally turn around and...
"BOOM!!!" The last were obliterated in the most humiliating way possible...

Post  Spiderman 8th December 2010, 1:16 am

"They're breaking in!" yelled Slacker Hero as the infected started to come into the barricade.
Slacker Hero and Magicman had boarded up a house and had been surviving their for 3 weeks now. Until recently they were safe. Now the infected had discovered them and were relentlessly trying to force their way in.

"I got it!" yelled Magicman as he pushed himself up against the door. Slacker Hero ran into the kitchen to grab the shotgun they had. He began loading up the few shells that were scattered across the table. His hands trembling.
"Come on, Come on." he said to himself.
"Where the fuck are you?!" yelled Magicman.
Slacker Hero ran into the the living room and held up against the front door with him.
The dead can be heard moaning from inside. They couldn't see but it sounded like a lot of them. As the two pushed up against the door they heard a sound that made both of their hearts drop. The lock had broke.
They kept pushing on the door, but little by little they can feel it opening. The pressure was building and they couldn't hold it forever. They both knew this.
The door opened just a crack and the sunlight came through.

*BAM*
An arm had just broke threw the wood barricading the front window. The hole got bigger as more arms pushed in, grabbing viciously at the air, hoping to grab one of the survivors.
"We gotta get on the roof!" yelled Slacker Hero.
"What then?! We would just be trapped up the-" *BAM* Magicman was interrupted as other set of arms broke threw the boarded up windows. The sunlight had glared into both of their eyes. Since they have been living in the darkness for so long the brightness had almost burned their retinas. This split second occurrence gave the infected the winning edge on the front door and had gotten arms inside, then a leg.
"We gotta go now!" yelled Slacker Hero.
Magicman looked at the floor for a second before replying, "Fuck it lets go!"

Both of them jumped back from the door and turned to the stairs. The door swung open and the room lit up with the morning sunlight, and the dead.
On the second floor Magicman had grabbed a bat as Slacker Hero went to pull on the roof latch on the ceiling. The dead were starting to climb up the staircase.
"I got it." said Slacker as he grabbed the handle. As he pulled it, it broke off in his hand.
"No...."
"Their coming!" yelled Magicman as he ran up to Slacker, who was standing their motionless, staring at the broken handle in his palm.
"Its...over." said Slacker.
"No! Fuck!" yelled Magicman as he dropped the bat and put his hands to his head. The infected now reached the top of the stairs and started walking down the hallway at them.
Magicman, it a fit of pure rage, had picked up the metal bat and started walking fast at the dead.
*CRACK*
One swing and the zombies bottom jaw had unhinged. The zombie behind it received a downward swing to the top of its skull, killing it instantly.
"Come on you fuck help me!" Magicman yelled at Slacker.
Slacker had look up at Magicman, furiously beating every zombie coming at him. He then looked back at the handle and threw it on the ground. He grasped the shotgun in both hands and ran to help. Magicman had forced the zombies to the top of the stairs as Slacker Hero leaned over the stair railing and blasted the infected coming up. Magicman had let out a kick and 4 infected tumbled down the stairs. However, more just started coming threw the front door and now, opened front window.

An infected that Magicman had injured grabed his leg. when he looked down, one grabbed his arm.
"Get the fuck off!" he screamed in panic.
*BOOM*
Slacker Hero shot the standing zombie in the side and it flew off. He then pumped the shotgun and put it to the head of the zombie on the ground.
*BOOM*
The entire top of the zombies head had been blown clear off. Some had splattered on the twos faces.
Magicman had dropped the bat when the zombie grabbed him, and it was lost on the stairs filled with dead and undead bodies.
"Get back!" yelled Slacker as he pumped the shotgun and pulled Magicman out of the way.
*click*
"Fuck! I'm out!" he said in a panic.
An infected grabbed at him and latched onto the shotgun. Slacker let it go and ran to the end of the hallway with Magicman right next to him. The infected began slowly coming down the hallway getting closer to them.
"Im gonna miss you man." said Slacker.
"We had a good run, sucks it had to end like this." replied Magicman.
Slacker smiled and put his hand out. Magicman grabbed it and they shook hands.

The zombies now grabbed them and forced them against the wall. They screamed at the infected ripped threw their clothes, stripping them down to nothing. One zombie had began passionately kissing Slackers neck.

Another zombie had put his hand down Magicmans pants and began fondling him. "NO!!" They screamed, but the zombies screamed louder. Cries of passion and pleasure. The infected had removed both of their pants and dragged them to the stair banister and leaned them over it.
"Please no! Please!" cried Magicman, but it was in vein.
The zombies proceeded to the rape them both furiously.
They began crying and begging for death, put the zombies had no intention of killing the survivors. They had bigger plans for them.
Rape.

The End.

Post  Bladewind23 8th December 2010, 2:19 am

December 24th, 1981
St. Petersburg, Russia
Seven years after the Peace Walker Incident.

FOXHOUND Agents Bladewind and Mboddz.
Codenames Wolf and Phoenix.

3:30 AM.

The mission was more than a covert op, it was so violently kept from knowledge that the second the agents parachuted from the plane the government burned the operation papers. They were in with one objective, a reconnaissance on a secret Soviet project, and finally, the assassination of the project leader.

Project Leviathan was its name, its objective unknown to anyone. This was to be changed by the agents.

"Quiet night, I'm not seeing much activity." Wolf spoke up, they had rented out a hotel room for just that one night; disguised as Ukrainians, and in only a few minutes they were to leave. The air outside was in the negatives, and hardly a soul dared to leave their homes.

Phoenix made no reply, only checking his watch, 3:39 AM, he pulled a briefcase from under the couch and opened it, revealing two suppressed sub-machine guns and plenty of ammunition to go around.

They both took a weapon and opened the window, letting the wave of winter air come into the room, Wolf let down a rope and they rappelled from the building, stealthily and without witness. They walked along the alleyways for quite some time before they saw the factory where the project was taking place. It was placed on a concrete-and-steel dock and rose to at least ten stories high. Guards were lacking but still regularly walked in and around the entrances of the building. Wolf pulled out a set of small binoculars and examined the outside, the only windows were around the top rim, and vision of the interior was hindered by the bright lights.

"The least guarded entrance is at the end of the pier, but it still won't be easy." Wolf muttered.

Phoenix pulled a small relay device out of his pocket and turned it on, this was the transmitter that the agents were to feed information into, it was a one-way and satellite-based to reduce the likely-hood of an interception.

Phoenix spoke into the microphone, "3:40 AM, we have successfully finalized the location of Project Leviathan, the description of the building are as follows: Located on a large dock, tall, mostly windowless, square shaped."

They moved forward, getting ever closer to the building. They reached the outer wall, it was poorly built and aged, making it easy to climb over. The middle entrance was fifty yards away and the guards had not seen the two climb over the wall.

A few minutes of sneaking and they got within twenty yards of the rear entrance, the one they were looking for. Only two guards were in attendance, and the agents quickly worked out a plan.

"On three.. One.. Two.. Three." Phoenix said. They shot the two guards in unison, the bodies fell limp and the assault rifles they held clattered on the concrete.

"We have to hurry, that's going to alert someone." Wolf noted. They opened the doors, dispatching two more guards on the other side. They walked down a long hallway, guns at the ready. They had forgotten about the outside security cameras, and they had seen everything. The building's alarm suddenly blared. Phoenix pulled out the transmitter device while they were still on the move.

"Alarm has been raised, still no sign of the project or the director."

They continued towards some double doors that had small glass windows on them. Wolf looked through first, and the room before them was gigantic and lit up as if the sun itself was shining into it. A giant armored mech stood in the center, much larger than a Metal Gear or anything else they had seen. Phoenix pulled out the transmitter once more, and revealed a small camera that was only good for one image, transmitted through the same satellite. He quietly pushed open one of the doors and snapped an image of the giant vehicle.

"Project Leviathan has been discovered."

They had forgotten about the alarm. Wolf glanced behind them and, seeing no-one, he motioned for Phoenix to move forward. They entered the room and went for the first sign of cover: a stack of boxes on a pallet. Soviet troops rushed in every direction, and there was no sign of the director. Phoenix examined the entire room and spotted a suspended office, high above them and attached to the ceiling, it was connected to several catwalks. Wolf used his binoculars and looked into the windows, an aged man was conversing with several troops.

"That must be him, we're going to have use the last resort." Wolf said, he reached into the small bag on his back and pulled out several explosive charges and the detonator. Not being able to risk detection, he placed the charges on the wall and support beam behind them. He dialed in a few numbers on the detonator number pad. He turned to Phoenix and they exchanged a nod.

Wolf turned back to the wall to ensure that the charges were secured, and a large splatter of blood flew across the wall and on the side of his face. He immediately turned around, a Soviet soldier stood a few feet away, having just shot Phoenix several times in the chest and head. The soldier shouted a few words in Russian, turning his attention to his fellow troops. Wolf reacted, pulling a knife and sprinting towards the soldier, he tackled the soldier to the ground and drove the knife into his neck. He gathered up the detonator, entering a few more numbers quickly and with precision.

He suddenly felt an intense sensation of pain in his chest. Several bullets riddled through him. He fell forward, the detonator fell from his hand and landed on the ground, pressing the button that should have activated the explosives. There was no response from the charges, and life receded from Wolf's body.

The End

"Get up, guys!" yelled Cry, "we need to get out of here now!"

"What are you talkin' about, man?" muttered eaustinn.

"What's it this time?" grumbled DeadApe.

The rising sound of unearthly groaning could be faintly heard; accompanied by the metallic scraping of the undead's rotten fingernails on the rusted doors outside.

"Keep it down, you guys!" said Meatshield, "I'm tryin' to get some shuteye over here!"

"They've found us. They must've followed you guys back last night!" snapped Cry.

"Don't worry, they'll never make it through those doors. So, just sit down, shut up, and eat your goddamn breakfast!" exclaimed Mexi Can.

The groaning from outside was beginning to grow unbearable. The doors were beginning to creak, due to the immense amount of pressure being applied from the seemingly endless hordes of the undead.

"You just don't get it do you!" roared Cry, "there aren't just a handful of those...those things out there; there's a motherfuckin' army of them! If we stay here any longer, we'll be lambs to the slaughter."

"But...but I made pancakes...with cinnamon," argued Mexi Can.

"We've got everything we need here: guns, ammo, food, shelter. You expect us to give all of this up, just because there's a few more of those "things" out there than usual today?" exclaimed eaustinn.

"Hang on a minute, guys," reasoned DeadApe, "Cry's right, there's never been this many before; we should probably get out of here while we've got the chance."

"I hate to say it, but these guys are right, eaustinn. We stay here, and we'll become an "All you can eat buffet" for these freaks." reasoned Meatshield, "I'm down, guys."

"How about you, Mexi?" questioned Cry, "you comin'?"

"Eaustinn's right, for once. I think I'm just gonna take my chances, and stay here with him."

"Please...please reconsider. Both of you," Cry implored.

"We'll be fine, won't we, Mexi?"

"Yeah, we'll be fine," assured Mexi Can.

"That settles it then. Eaustinn and Mexi are stayin' here. Me, Cry, and Meatshield are gettin' out of this hellhole," said DeadApe, "we'll send help once we find it."

"Gear up!" shouted Meatshield.

Cry picked up the last of the shotguns, it was slightly worn, but did its job. DeadApe took the pistol. Meatshield took the crowbar. "Simple, yet effective," as he always said.

"All right, we'll take the back exit. There's likely to be less of those things out there."

"Where are you guys gonna go?" asked eaustinn.

"There's a dock a couple of miles west. There should still be some boats there," uttered Cry.

"We'll move around the perimeter of the city; less likely to be spotted that way," DeadApe pointed out.

The group broke out in tears as they said their fond farewells. They all knew that this was going to be the last time they saw each other; although none dared to speak it.

"I'll miss you guys," sobbed Mexi Can.

"Take care, you guys," eaustinn bawled, fighting back the tears.

"We'll send for help as soon as we find it. I promise," reassured Cry.

"I love you guys!" babbled DeadApe.

The trio made their way to the back exit, weapons ready and loaded.

Meatshield glanced back at the duo and whispered, "God help you."

They flung open the back exit, Luckily for them, there were only a few of the undead out there. They mindlessly shuffled towards them, their eyes filled with hunger, hate and anguish.

"Ready guys?" asked Cry.

"Yeah," they both responded.

Meatshield landed the first blow, shattering the beasts' skull with one fell swing. Cry and DeadApe thought it stupid to waste their limited ammo on such a small group, and so let Meatshield take the brunt of the work.

"Whew, that was easy," panted Meatshield as he wiped the sweat off his forehead.

"Let's get movin'," Cry uttered.

The group got a couple of yards away from the building when they heard it. The sound of a thousand lifeless corpses, engaging in a symphony of ecstatic moaning and inhuman growling, as they feasted upon the living.

The group knew what was happening had been inevitable. Yet, still clung to that one shred of hope. Still hoped that their friends would escape. Still hoped that their friends would not bear the same fate that had fallen upon the beasts that were now savaging their lifeless bodies.

"We need to help them! We need to go back!" screamed Meatshield, as the last of the screams died out.

"I'm sorry, but it's too late. You know it, and I know it," Cry spoke in a hushed tone.

"G-g-guys?" DeadApe stammered, "listen!"

"Help...hel-,"

The group could make out the faint voice of eaustinn, calling out for help over the incessant groaning and snarling.

"He's alive. Oh my god, he's alive!" DeadApe screamed, jubilantly.

Meatshield darted away from the group towards the back exit. He was met by a wave of undead, clawing and gnashing at him. Meatshield blindly swung the crowbar, bringing down a few of them.

"He's gonna get killed if we don't help him," screamed DeadApe.

Cry and DeadApe sprinted towards Meatshield, unloading shot after shot into the relentless waves of the undead. They eventually reached eaustinn, riddled with bite marks and torn flesh.

"Is he all right?" shrieked Meatshield.

"Kill me," whispered eaustinn, before the last ounce of life was stolen from his body.

"He's gone," exclaimed Cry, "it was all for nothing."

The undead were slowly enclosing the group. They had no means of escape. But, escape was not what they had in mind.

"We're gonna kill EVERY last one of these brain dead bastards!" Cry ranted.

"For eaustinn and Mexi!" the group cried.

They charged right into the horde, swinging and blasting with every ounce of strength they could muster up.

Meatshield was the first to go, dragged to the floor by six of them, flailing and lashing his weapon wildly, managing to deliver a skull shattering blow to the head of one of those bastards, before finally having his neck torn apart.

DeadApe was the second to go, after running out of ammo, he was quickly overrun, but fought till his last breath.

Cry was the last to go, running low on ammo, he bolted for the horde, firing off his last shot, he started using his weapon as a bat, swinging it wildly. He was tackled to the ground, kicking at the undead with fury. They clawed and snapped at him furiously, tearing him apart, limb from limb.

...

...

"You don't fucking get it do you? Ninety fucking percent of every human on earth just got ass-raped by a virus, and now they're walking around eating each others faces off, we either do this or we end up the same way."

"We're just going to die anyway, what's the point?"

"You know what? The point is, I'd rather die later than now, preferably of natural causes. Last I checked, having my face eaten isn't natural."

Super Mega King, Eaglendia, Cazio, and Coggy. Survivalists, four of very few people left in the country that hadn't yet succumbed to the virus. The group wasn't without casualties, three others had already been lost, Garquin, Black Snow, and Sgt Zombie. They were on their last lines of hope, broken down and paranoid from their travels, the journey to get to Alcatraz, supposedly it was safe, just like every other place that was presumed 'safe'. Only this one hadn't been overrun, yet.

The four were held up in the basement of a townhouse in San Francisco. Only two guns left and the rest were knives, baseball bats, and whatever the hell else they could find. Cazio and Coggy had just finished a heated conversation.

"So, the sun is coming up, if we are going to leave, its gotta be now." Cazio announced over the group. Everyone nodded and they went for the basement trapdoor, smashing the lock and quickly ascending the stairs. It wasn't long before an Infected caught wind of them, sprinting in their direction only to get clothes-lined by Cazio's bat. They moved down the street, now only ten blocks from the beach and, hopefully, a way to the island.

Many more Infected came their way, some being cut down by shotgun shells and rifle bullets, and others having their brains splattered by force. At the moment their weren't many, not as many as the group had previously experienced, and with that fact they handled the Infected with ease.

They advanced upon a wide street, wider than previous ones, Eaglendia peeked around the corner of the nearest building, inspecting the apparent highway. To their unfortunate luck, it was mobbed with Infected, a hundred, two hundred, an uncountable amount of sprinting demons were crowded in the middle of the road. Eagle ducked back behind the building, the others understood fully. They all turned to the other side of the street, it was relatively empty, until Cazio spoke up.

"You hear that? Sounds like a.. semi truck horn?"

Sure enough, a large truck came blazing past them, Infected tumbling down the street and many more stuck to the front of it. It disappeared down the empty side of the street, and the group took the immediate opportunity to sprint across the highway. Most of the Infected were still left and took notice of them right away, forming a giant horde and running towards them.

The four kept running, now five blocks from the sea, the Infected were close behind, tripping and falling over each other to reach the humans. Coggy began to lag behind, and just when he regained his speed he tripped over a trolley track.

"Oh fucking hell."

Coggy picked himself up and began to run again, only to be tackled to the ground by a small group of Infected, they ripped him apart before he could even scream. The other three didn't slow down, only three blocks to go. They were straining themselves to keep running, now abandoning their heavy guns and picking up melee weapons on the move.

One block to go, Cazio glanced behind them, the Infected were still right on their heels. He saw something else, the same truck as before, it was coming at them at full speed. Cazio sprinted ahead of SMK and Eagle, he reached the beachfront first, jumping down a ten foot drop-off onto the sand. He looked up, the truck broke through the concrete barrier, traveling at at least a hundred miles per hour. It flew over Cazio's head, SMK's body was splattered on the front of it, along with many other bundles of gore that were unrecognizable. Eagle came next, landing next to Cazio and continuing to run. Cazio followed after him without hesitation.

The dwindling group saw many options of travel ahead, a motorized fishing boat was their apparent best option. Cazio ran across the wooden dock and jumped into the boat, fumbling around for some keys. Eagle jumped in behind him and ripped open the glove box, finding the keys and tossing them to Cazio, who jammed them into the starter. He turned the key, at first receiving no response. Eagle looked back towards the city, the mob of Infected were now stumbling and falling across the drop-off, still a gigantic horde despite the truck. The truck itself had landed front-first on the sand and flipped, the two didn't stay long enough to see who or what was driving it.

The boat finally started up, it lurched forward and ripped away the holdings on the dock. The Infected mob caught up with them too late, and most of the Infected disappeared under the water, drowning or running back out and fleeing to the city.

The island of Alcatraz was in sight, Cazio and Eagle began to laugh to one another, they thought they had finally achieved refuge. A minuscule blast of smoke was seen from the island, followed by a metallic object ascending into the sky. It turned toward the boat, gaining speed.

"You have got to be fucking kidding me!" Cazio yelled, he jumped from the boat, leaving Eagle to fend for himself. The boat was struck by the object, then engulfed in a humongous explosion. Eagle hadn't jumped off, and Cazio was alone. Swimming to the island wasn't an option, but he didn't want to go back to the infected city either. Cazio soon heard a slight cracking noise, coming from the island, a high pitched noise came after, and a bullet flew through Cazio's head. The water soon turned a red color and the body began to sink to the ocean floor.

Assuming he's talking about El Toro or Big Red, it would be an RPG.
