Im about to get ARMA 2

So on steam ARMA 2 is like 7.99 bucks and im going to get it, for real this time. Is there anyone who can suggest any mods or extra things i should get to make it much more enjoyable. Also does anyone have it and is willing to play with me on it?

mine can, before i installed my video card i played some css and i could at least, the most part run it with most settings on normal.

I have an Ati HD 5670 its about a $100 graphics card and it runs smooth on the highest settings, The rest of the computer is decent but nothing too expensive. It even ran on the second lowest with my shitty integrated card before, but don't expect it too look good. Also I have several mods you should look up, one is of course the zombie mod, in which we can play coop. The other would be The Predator mod in which you can play as the humans and predators and even hop from tree to tree like in the movie. The final mod would have to be ACE for realism and the SLX mod which adds gore and other things. I suggest you all take advantage of this deal before it ends.

thank you fatty boy i just bought the package for 26.99 so you can add me at orinspack on steam and i will look into the mods, plus for the graphics card desciption of your gameplay, doesnt relate to mine, i can run full visibility and some options on high but not all, the game runs smoothly and but chops up when major close quarters or when i have to many cpus in a small area, it might be because im overclocking and not properly useing the graphics, i shall look into it.

i have seen problems before with the slx mod such as killing an enemy with a single shot will yield his entire body being completely bloody which would not make sense.

i completely agree with the mods you suggested. and i had a decent computer. i need a new processor cuz thru a drastic change of events, and trying to upgrade my computer, my current cpu is not compatible with my motherboard. cant get the cpu till may, unfortunately. and the new gpu i got (an ASUS GT240 1GB) is apparently a slight downgrade from my previous nvidia geforce 9500GT 1GB, fattyboy, is this true? anyway, just becuz u can run a game, doesnt mean it will work, can u run crysis 2 without it lagging? any computer can run a game, the question lies if it can run well. my POS laptop could run COD 2, but it had several graphical problems, "just to prove a point"

redrum my crysis 2 runs at a steady 40~70 fps which is a little low for me but i can handle that. Any suggestions on getting it higher?

go to canyourunit again, and look at your computer specs it says u have, or better yet, print screen it, go to paint, paste it in that, upload the img to a photo viewer website (imageshack, photobucket, etc.) and post the direct link here in the [img] tags. id like to know ur exact specs before u do anything,

If you are running Crysis 2 at with 40-70 fps you can run anything. Pretty much 'nuff said. However, I'm guessing it's at lowest considering your computer specs.

Your talking about Crysis 1 meatshield, Crysis 2 has been much better optimized so it can run much better than Crysis 1 ever could.

I wasn't expecting that out of Crysis 2 to be honest.

Yeah its pretty strange and also I can run Crysis 2 on the highest and me and unshaped both have the same graphics card,but for the rest he has a decently better computer.

ya know, i had a feeling that it was, cuz people needed basically a nasa supercomputer to run crysis 1 on full settings.

i find it sad that all my internals came from a 300 dollar barebones kit that i build up the graphics card is the only thing that was not included.

Lol, no. Crysis was a pretty heavy game for it's own time, and for a good reason. The highest settings were meant for, at the time, unreleased hardware. So running it on Ultra High was technically impossible for everyone for a year or two after it was released.

On today's standards it doesn't take shit to run though.

Call or contact steam support and try to get it sorted out, they will believe you and probably give you another cd key if you have proof of your purchase.
