I've been following this closely, and it's unfortunate that this shit is going on.
Why would they cut the budget on a show that provided to be extremely popular? It's only had 6 episodes and people ate that shit up. I don't understand it.
Well, the comic is still there and won't be going anytime soon, so I'm not so upset by this news.

Unfortunately this is what happens when a network like AMC tries to grow too fast. I'm disappointed, but that's how things are. AMC works differently from HBO and Showtime.

Not sure they can. Last I checked AMC owns the title and rights to the walking dead, so therefore, AMC can tank it if they want to. Unless AMC agrees to sell it (yeah.. right), if anther company picked it up AMC would sue them, and they would face many other legal issues.
