Creative Director quits 343

Summary: The creative director of Halo 4 quit because the game didn't "speak to his values" and had become a "crazy endeavor." As if we didn't see that coming. Interested to see how stupid this game actually turns out. I remember Adam Sessler of Xplay used to do a segment called "Games that need to die," and you would see the usual dynasty warriors and such, never thought I would see Halo up there.

How can you say splinter cell after the most recent iteration? Conviction was excellent and broke the normal formula. I can't wait for the next one.

i understand i just hope they make the next one a little longer and fix the multilayer to make the game for accessible

its just that its like a 5th game to come out and i hope they just dont start pumping them out

I sorta said my goodbyes to halo at the conclusion of Halo 3, didn't play reach that much, it attracted too many douchebags, halo 4 is gonna be a dissapointment

I think that this new halo trilogy is going to mirror the call of duty trilogy. Over the top, made for hopped up 15 year olds who drink too much redbull.

but all in all halo should stop games unless they're redoing graphics like the first halo....but movies thats what i believe they should go into

Pretty much, the creative director saw 343 raping Halo, and he couldn't take it anymore. He had to stop.

This is a sad day, truly. Halo needs to be killed. I can't let a dog gone rabid suffer.

I think it's a bit premature for us to base our speculation off of the departure of some person we don't know in the slightest. For all we know, he was some raving lunatic who wanted Halo to be all butterflies and operas, but the people of 343 were like. "Yeah that's kinda gay."


I mean, just look at what he said. "It's not living up to my vision?" It's not your fucking vision, it's Bungie's. That statement alone makes me think of one of those delusional Bollywood directors with their little thin-wire tinted glasses and black berets, walking around and throwing the end of their scarfs around their neck while being condescending and snooty to some poor coffee girl.

Anyways, don't let this ruin what we don't and can't know, it's silly and ignorant.

Cry, if they prove us wrong, we'll be happy. But this doesn't sit well with me and I'm getting major red flags.

I just feel like you guys are being really black and white about it. You see one potentially bad thing, and everyone's in the negative, without any facts. I say you should just be neutral and open minded, don't assume the worst because of one unknown.
