Max Payne 3 Discussion

I am So Hyped Up for this Game The First 2 were good and Rockstar Has a good track record.Not only Will this Game Have Amazing Graphics It will also Be a good Idea Of what GTA5 will look like. The Story Will Probably Be the Most twisted, Nightmareish One yet So Be ready for Gruesome Gore and Fear Flashbacks,along with Nightmares of the day your family died.

I'm looking forward to this game. Way I see it, Rockstar is the Christopher Nolan of games. The graphics look great, and I've never played a Max Payne game before so I could care less what changes for the better Rockstar makes to its story and gameplay (and they will be changes for the better, I doubt anyone could one up Rockstar for writing, and they've got modern technology on their side for the gameplay).

I hope it's got GTA style multiplayer, then maybe we can do some zombies on that while waiting for GTAV.

I kinda hope Rockstar takes a more serious stance on this. I know comedy's one of their "things", but I don't really find it all that funny. The fact that when you become level ten in GTAIV, you get stripper outfits, when you become the max level in RDR you unlock some old lady. They should actually give me incentive to play their games. I seriously doubt anybody would be crazy enough to go to level ten hoping to unlock some joke character model. Maybe if they had something good, more people would have played until ten. Same for RDR, if you unlocked somebody cool at Legendary 5, some people might go for it. As is, I can't imagine people going "Oh, I unlock an old lady model at Legendary 5. I'm gonna do all this leveling just to get a joke model that'll only be funny for less than a day.".

Basically, I hope they've somehow noticed this group, seen the fact that we represent like half the people still playing GTAIV, and decided to reward us with an actually good zombie model.

On another note, if they do make some sort of infection gametype, I hope they don't make an infection playlist. That would basically be the end of much of UX's appeal. We'd have to be advertised solely as a general community that still plays infection on older games (as I've heard the newest COD will have an infection gametype).

Even if MW3 has an infection gametype, we can still get together and play a few games.

Got this the first day.




Anyway, great game. Been playing since the first day it came out, still having a lot of fun. The multiplayer was done perfectly. The gunplay is smooth, and so are the animations.

great game. Im currently beating it on hardest difficultly( old school difficultly)

Also playing the MP, Mp5k is my favorite gun so far, pretty effective

So I was thinking about dabbling around with the Private Matches, and their settings. Anyone think they could pop into help test out how to do Zombies?

So against all odds this game managed to not be shit, which is more than I could have ever hoped for. The story is even more nonexistent than it was in the original games, and the cover system was a huge fuckup. It works, but that's not Max Payne, that's Gears of War.

The Favela level was fucking amazing, partially because of how I played it: Walking in the middle of a narrow alley with an AK, enemy could pop out from anywhere and it was up to reaction time, not taking cover like a pussy. Shit was so western, even Clint would be in awe.

I use duel auto 9mm's and run around like a lunatic

but it works

I gotta go with the AK47 and a 1911 with some body armor.

Alright so i just got done trying to play Max Payne 3 again with Negative and steveeee. Basically, i now remember why i stopped playing it. The Mini-30 rifle is extremely over powered, the lag is absolutely ridiculous, and the sniper rifles are all anyone over lvl 20 use because they are a one shot kill always.


I actually at this point, regret spending 60$ on this game. It was fun for the first 3 days. Then everyone realized just how over powered some guns were, and that zig-zagging means you cant be shot for some unknown reason.

Just how things go. Hopefully they'll learn from Max Payne and put that into account for GTA V.

I am currently level 44 on this and I refuse to use that mini 30 rifle it is pretty ridiculous as you said, I prefer to use dual Desert Eagles or Revolvers and even the Mpk. I really have had no trouble with lag except when the game came out and a couple people on the other team were unkillable due to lag or something like that, seemed like a glitch but it was probably lag. I also do fine without wearing a helmet or body armor [I used the goggles that detect booby traps and camo]. I really can't see what your making a big deal about besides of course that mini 30 rifle, you seem to be exaggerating a bit.

I haven't played online even once. I think the community will die way before I ever get the chance to...
