Interactive Zombie Machinima Game

Go to the character creation thread to sign up. The game is already in the sign up phase, meaning this thread is no longer necessary. If you're going to post in and therefore bump a zombie machinima thread, let it be the character creation one. It's in Forum Games.

This idea is blatantly stolen from Eaglendia, Garquin, and Sir Manguydude's various forum games. Sorry about that, I just thought what I'm about to talk about (for the THIRD time now) would be a fun project to try out.

Basically, if you decide to participate, you'll get to create your character, i.e. deciding their background and skills and such, but you'll also get to have a say in how they look. Because I'll inevitably make whatever would go in the games topic into a machinima. Meaning, participant A decides to do thing V and then thing W, and say thing X, and participants B, C, D, E, and F all decide to do thing Y and then go to place Z. And after that, I would make a video depicting all those characters doing those things, and post it for you guys to see. After the video is posted, you would all return and decide what to do next. I make another video, and it continues.

The plot will inevitably involve zombies. Whoever is participating will have to decide what to do, what to says, where to go, etc. I will provide maps of the situation and area to help with decision making, in addition to making videos of whatever happens. If you've formed a group with all the other participants, and you guys all vote to build a shelter in area J, I'll make a video of it. If, on your way to place J your group encounter a group of zombies or another hostile group of survivors, I'll post that, and then you will all of course respond. After that, I'll make a video showing the results, i.e. whatever dialogue that was exchanged in character that resulted in the group deciding to go to place J, the group traveling toward place J, the group encountering and dealing with enemies, and the group arriving at place J. I'll do my best to give detailed maps and descriptions as well as advice on the game to help you make good decisions. For example, if you guys at one point decide you'd like to make a sort of permanent shelter, like a fort or something, I might chime in with a map of the area and show you for example, "There's an easily fortified cave nearby, that would be all to easy to barricade, as well as a defensible plateau". You wouldn't be obligated to follow my advice. And you can of course break of into little splinter groups, and even decide to fight each other for whatever reason, provided it makes sense.

Anyone who would like to would be allowed to participate. I just think it would be a fun idea. Ultimately, if this works out and enough people are interested, I'd come up with more detailed and extensive rules and guides, as well as a more sophisticated plot (which the participants would have a say in). Anyway, feel free to reply here saying whether or not you'd like to be involved, nothing required except an account on this site. You can also chime in to say anything else you think I should hear right now.

Of course. If I know somebody is expecting me to make something, I feel obligated not to keep them waiting.

Right now I'm only at the "Participant Fishing" stage. If I can get enough people who would like to play to volunteer, then I can move on to the rule solidifying/relaying stage, and then to the actual game stage.

also i think there should be a schedule for when decisions are going be made and the videos will be posted, because someone who doesn't get on regularly might miss the time to make a decision
