Honestly I don't think there has been many great games this year... Then again I haven't bought a single game this year I think... Partially it's because they all seemed un-interresting, but then again, I shouldn't jufge before playing....

It is going to be like that MTV movie rewards where "Twilight" one the best movie award. The game of the year and winner of most of the rewards is going to be the most critically accepted and best selling. That being COD4MW2 that fucking kicked The Dark Knight Merchandise's ass when it came to the largest amount of things bought on the first day of release.

It deserves it while modern warfare 2 definitely does not.

I think they gave the title for pity just because MW2 sold better...

Just kidding, but honestly this did surprise me. I myself haven't played UC2, but some of my friends have it and they all told me it sucks, so I surely was not expecting this.

Through all the whining that MW2 was going to recieve every single award and ruin the show, it turned out fine. MW2 won best shooter, which it should have and thats it. We all expected Uncharted 2 to win GOTY. Im glad rocksteady got its awards and that there is a sequel to arkham coming out. Its nice to see that independent developers are getting rewarded for making good games and taking a risk.

Spec-ops looks amazing. The graphics look insane, and I like that its 3rd person. Bungie has some serious ego issues when they announced that "its going to be the best shooter made." That is such a large fucking statement. Now if their game tanks (which it wont because it has HALO in the name) they are going to look like idiots. How do you follow up that statement by showing a trailer that doesn't show any gameplay, or WHY it is going to be the best shooter ever made. We all know that reach is a shooter, but with something crazy added in the mix (natal, or its an mmo,) why not show us that and get us pumped. The trailer was cool though, and the spartans and their armor looked sick, the graphics also looked really good and took on a more realistic approach. Still you cant release an average game trailer after saying something like that.


Anyway the awards show was cool, had some friends over and we watched it, plus talking to people about it on xbox live.

Update: If its any consolation, I found out that the REACH trailer is completely on the ingame engine. Pretty sweet I guess.

If they made a guitarhero/rockband deathmetal, or metal version. It would sell so hard. I dont buy all those crappy music games and I would run out in a heartbeat to grab that.

Now that we are talking about Huitar Hero & Rock Band, I have to bring this up. Some of you might have heard or even tried it, but listen up. There is a free PC game called Frets on Fire. It is exactly like Guitar Hero / Rock Band (except there is no cartoonish band on the background) and it has a huge community uploading new songs all the time! It isn't that special at first, but you can also download a megatit loads of songs, themes etc. all for free, which makes the game better than GH and RB combined in my opinion.
So, if you have a PC compatible Guitar Hero guitar (or any other instrument) you should definately try it out. And even if you don't, you can bind the keys and play on your keyboard...

Honestly Uncharted 2 is the only game for the ps3 that I wish I could play. Everyone is saying HOW DARE IT but none of them have ever played it. Modern Warfare 2 was a fucking awesome game.....then all the regulars got it and little kids combined with glitch whores systematically ruin it untill it is garbage. I will not play that game untill the glitches are fixed because it is unplayable.

Just get Rock Band 2. There's already SOME metal on there (Mastodon, Testament), but there's a shitload of metal DLC.
