Battlefield BC2 VIETNAM

I posted about this in the e3 stream thread I am happy that they are continuining on supporting it. An expansion was the last thing I expected its gonna be cool.

Winter is a really long wait for 4 maps and a couple of Vietnam weapons. I'm pretty sure its not going to be separate multiplayer, the maps and weapons are just going to blended in with the old maps, idk.

Time to put my gorilla tactics to the ultimate test!

New update today! New maps and possibly Vietnam being DL too, but Vietnam won't be unlock untill December 21.....

You see, I don't get this. Yesterday when signing into BFBC2 online, it said an update was available, and that I should download it. After loading it, I saw it was for Vietnam, and it was FREE. So what did I have to lose? I downloaded it.. only... didn't realize it was a 1.6 Gig download. When it was done, I was thinking.. "did I just get Vietnam?".

No. In actuality nothing changed at all. Can't see any difference. What kind of update takes up 1.6 gigs and doesn't do anything but take up space??

Hopefully it will be "unlocked" later like you said, because if not, then idk wtf I downloaded.

There is no way the 1.6 gigs was for a simple multiplayer update. You got to remember (and EA has to remember) that not everyone has a 120+ gig harddrive.

I for one have a nice little 13 gb hard drive, and with this latest download, I only have less than 100 megs left. It's BS that EA would do something like that. BFBC2 is the only game I know that actually has their multiplayer updates taking up a crap load of memory, but 1.6 gigs to update a multiplayer match is ridiculus. What is the next update going to be?

5 gigs?
then 20 gigs?
then 150 gigs?

Ridiculus.

It's 4 new huge maps and a big multiplayer update. It might even have Vietnam on it, but I'm doubting it. 1.6 gigs is reasonable.

I realize that now. I downloaded the update in November; the new maps "appeared" December 1st. I was still under the impression nothing changed when making the previous posts.
