The air is a little tense, and it's too early in your relationship for that kind of commitment. Honestly, you're not sure why ENDEMIC's UNBELIEVABLY SHITTY PARTY SYSTEM hasn't haphazardly grouped you together yet.

You've already lowered your weapons. No point in killing him now; at least, not without learning anything from him. Perhaps you should wait for him to make the first move? You do have him slightly outgunned, five weapons to two.

The two of you have a seat. MASTA SHEF stows the dangerous .357 MAGNUM in his ITEM INVENTORY, possibly hoping to clear the tension a bit. He notes that he forgot his BISCOTTI and ESPRESSO at the hotel, but carrying it around with him would take up inventory space anyway.

The ESPRESSO would probably get cold as well, and that would simply be shameful.

"If you're not the thief, then what are you doing here?" he asks.

You tell him that your goal was originally to find a way out of the city; sadly, you're apparently trapped. You decide to tell him that you're not exactly sure what's next on your agenda, as your NEW GOAL doesn't concern him much.

He doesn't question your story.

MASTA SHEF remains silent for a moment. "...Not exactly. There's something I have to do first."

"What do you mean?"

He shows you the BINDER he took from CAFE BALTIC. The man he's looking for is apparently planning to meet him at the top of this PARKING GARAGE, and you have a feeling he might be one of the men you're looking for too.

"I need your help." he says. Your goals run hand in hand. "Are you with me?"

"How do you know this isn't some kind of trap? This guy stole from you, right? What if he's just looking to seal the deal?" you ask.

"There's only one way to find out." he responds. "Well?"

"I'll help, but only if you do something for me." you say. "We have a deal?"

"Deal."

INTERMISSION

Close by, but not too close.

In an apparently derelict hotel, something stirs. A subordinate awaits further instructions from his leader.

Wait, are those guns? How wo--

oh... oh God.

You are BLACK SNOW, though some would refer to you as a CRAZY SONUVABITCH. You are currently in the PRESIDENTIAL SUITE of the hotel the remainder of UNDEAD XBOX was staying in before midnight. Your code name is BLUE, after the color of the eyes of this MILITARY GEAR your boss, or team leader, stole for you after you proved your allegiance to him by stealing three watermelons and helping lure members of UNDEAD XBOX into elaborate traps.

You're not sure what it is about this gear, but it offers plenty of bonuses to your STATS. Just wearing it seems to boost your SKILL WITH ALL FIREARMS, DEFENSE, and AGILITY to near-overcompetent levels.

One has already been passed on to the other member of your team, to be used in some sort of deal that you weren't told the details of. The other two remain with you; you were instructed to guard them with your life and contact your boss over the COMPUTER if you have any questions.

You decide to set them here and keep an eye on them. They should be safe, as this room is basically inaccessible, except by you and members of your team.

The boss also hooked you up with a bunch of these sweet HATCH DOORS. He ensured you that if properly attached to either side of a door frame, they can not be removed by any easily accessible means.

You also have a file handy on your COMPUTER that will START THE NEXT CHAPTER OF THIS COMIC when opened. You're not entirely sure what that means, but you figure it can't be too hard to figure out.

Until then, you're on your own. Anything you have to do before you move on?
