the day i downloaded xbox new update my mic broke and died while in a party

frankly the new update is ruining gamers lives and is giving the ps3 the advantage it needs

every day i think people cant get any stupider, and every day im proven wrong. today, it was microsoft that has proven me wrong

I am sure there is a way to trick your Xbox into thinking you have the new update. I have seen some people with the old interface. Probably involves softmods, if not than definitely a hardware mod.

I don't understand how these updates are mandatory. The original dashboard was fine the way it was. I can understand the update from late 2008. The interface for one was changed to categorize the news things much simpler. And added party chat and etc.

But how in the fuck does this make things any better? The new interface is atrocious, blatantly ripping the wii design. I can't even put on my downloaded avatar clothes. That's 20$ I've spent wasted. The voice msging is even staticy. Like what the fuck?

GOOD THINGS

1. Now with the voice chat updated you can play music through the mic with out it being staticy and you sound the way that you should normally.

2. Avatars look better

4. They fixed it for people with kinect and thats less than 1/3 of all XBL gamers.

OK, important question. If you dont have XBL and you got kinect, HOW THE HELL IS THAT GUNNA WORK WITH OUT THE UPDATE? LMAO

The update is barely even consequential from what I can tell. Yes, it was completely unnecessary aside from the voice functionality improving (?), but it's honestly hardly even different.

So it's got a whiter paint job and is slightly more square. Stop the fucking presses.

Unless I missed something, practically everything still works exactly the same as it did before, and most things are still in the same exact spot even.

p.s. making voice chat far worse, and making the guide look like a 5th grade power point presentation is kind of a big deal, so i will "Stop the fucking presses".
