Alien Prequel News!

Fox announced today that the project once known as “The Alien Prequel” has morphed into something else entirely — a film called Prometheus, slated for release March 9, 2012. The script, written by Scott and Damon Lindelof, will tell a completely different science fiction tale. “While Alien was indeed the jumping off point for this project, out of the creative process evolved a new, grand mythology and universe in which this original story takes place,” Scott explains in the press release. “The keen fan will recognize strands of Alien’s DNA, so to speak, but the ideas tackled in this film are unique, large and provocative.” Swedish actress Noomi Rapace (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo) is already attached to star in one of the film’s five major roles, a “scientist” named Elizabeth Shaw.

Yeah no more AvP as AvP-r ruined the wholething. I hope the new project is still to be like Alien and Aliens.

Woot, for another movie with so many sexual references, and based on rape that it makes me sick.

The alien series was based on Rape, and sexual innuendos. Look it up, Ridley Scott has even admitted that. He wanted to get people scared, and nothing is scarier then rape.

To me i would not of found that as rape but it is what the film makers say.Shusett said, "I have an idea: the monster screws one of them,"[3] planting its seed in his body, and then bursting out of his chest. Both realized the idea had never been done before, and it subsequently became the core of the film.[3] "This is a movie about alien interspecies rape," O'Bannon said on the documentary Alien Evolution, "That's scary because it hits all of our buttons."[4] O'Bannon felt that the symbolism of "homosexual oral rape" was an effective means of discomforting male viewers.[5]

Just saying, if it's the basis of the intended theme/scare tactic of the Alien franchise, then I don't see how it's off-topic. Although this topic isn't actually about an Alien movie, you did call it "Alien Prequel News", and Prometheus is a movie party written by Ridley Scott.

I didn't mean it that way i meant just to stick with Alien prequel news instead of bringing up something else to do with the Alien Franchise.
