The friend that made it used CS5, lines and brushes.
She made this one as well.
She made this one as well.

It's just strange, if someone asked me without any context, I'd say it was put together from other pics. It's probably just the line art style throwing me off.
Anyway, it's pretty cool.

Evidently.
Anyway, big surprise.
I'm starting this today because I've already chosen the players and made the opening post, and am having trouble sitting on my hands.
Keep an eye out for the topic, as I've decided to just create a new one (and potentially one for each chapter...)

I accepted Flasktoss, and only Flasktoss.
Because he submitted no character, I have selected Flask himself.
How well will his wacky schemes work in Sylvetica? Find out tonight...

The ironic thing is that, if this were the case, we could all expect an exponentially entertaining game. TOO BAD.

Anyway, on the characters I've chosen.
I picked who I picked because of profiles conducive to the collaborative format of Sylvetican Strife. Your character's personality and unique qualities, as well as how much I personally liked that character, were the prime factors. Backstory was also important; apologies to some of the earlier entries who didn't get in. Narrative backstory became the standard, really, and though I might have liked your character or something about it, there just wasn't enough there to privilege you over anyone else.
Dmitri Cortez and Kronik Hashbrik are different examples in themselves--these are the kind of characters that welcome poor roleplaying and storywriting. Kronik would, I believe, ultimately serve as a joke character, an outlet of unfunny non-sequitur "dead baby" and "lol marijuana" humor. The door-opening evident in Dmitri's profile is less evident, but still there, in the phrase: "would have quick changes from a cheerful and somewhat of comedic person to a hateful creature that the devil himself could be proud of." In this case, there is completely no reason besides some unmentioned and undiagnosed psychological condition for a character to act like this; this personality would ultimately become an outlet for a character that does not develop, and would likely be used to justify some violent or chaotic action.
Satellite Y and Thomas C didn't bring enough to the table, and Nike Spalding presented some potential for character development, but his biography seemed haphazard, as did that of obvious self-insert Kurtis Crookshanks; in the end, of the unaccepted characters, my highest-rated signup is Viznet Lunarenskaya, who was so close to making it in, and whose signup I favored due to how well-aware of his character and their potential he was. That said, depending on how long Sylvetican Strife lasts and how much time it takes out of my schedule, it might not be the last game in its vein...

You're being intentionally vague. If you have something to say, simply say it or do not say anything at all.

Why did you have to type so poorly on a thread for a game thats main elimination factor is based upon who well you write? D:

Re: Sylvetican Strife (A forum roleplaying, collaborative storytelling, elimination challenge game)
Meatshield not sure if this movie trailer was an influence for your character at all, but the character in this movie is almost exactly the same. He takes a pill that gives him increased intelligence and awareness. Another similiarity is that they both enjoy as a hobby the stock market. Also in your biography when you say “Calm down Gentlemen, I’m fifty steps ahead of you” it is almost the same thing he says at 2:10 to 2:15 in the video. And this commercial has been playing alot for the past few days, including during the superbowl as well. I am just saying your character is very similiar to Bradley Cooper in this movie.
