Artistic Gamers sounds a little too art oriented. For some reason, when I think of the name "Average Gamers", I feel like it sounds too "bro-ey".

Blog made back in 2009. Updated for a month, then entirely stopped, although they still host it.

Also, @ Hybrid. Would like to not use website name with Xbox, PC, PS3 or Wii in it. It would be cool if we broadened the base a little more. Yeah.

I dont have a big problem poaching average gamers off a website that stopped using it in 2009. We would be www.average-gamers.com Its a free URL, and also is reminiscent of www.undead-xbox.com. Its sarcastic and kind of humorous if you consider how we call a lot of games these days average. To be honest this forum looks average, TBHTFLA

I dislike the "Gamers" and "Gaming" moniker.

Sounds like something a 13 year old would think is cool.

That, or/and we could ask the people using it if we could have their URL, although we aren't going to buy it off of them. (Unless it's really,really,cheap. A URL with a hyphen in it kind of isn't a good idea. Bad Ju ju.)

Scratch that. Apollo Gaming is a domain that costs $1700.

Aether Gaming is free.

Hyphenating either makes domains that aren't used.

Concerning attracting multiple crowds, we can come up with a motto that covers them all.

"Arts, Literature, Gaming and Friends
       All under the roof of Apollo" (or Aether)

I think names like "helios gaming," "aether gaming," and "apollo gaming" are silly and pretentious because they don't actually mean anything.

Lots of things have names that don't necessarily mean something specific. I think it has a good ring to it. Not only that, but AG flows well just like UX.

In the end though, every father has the right to name their son, and DeadApe gets the final word.

Okay so, the name thing is gonna need some time. That's fine because its one of the least important aspects.

I really want to know what you guys want out of this new forum. I've been writing down plenty of ideas that I want for myself and even for others, and I know that some of you guys have been doing the same and I want to hear them.

These are some quick examples of things I want
- I want to create a platform that gives everybody in the community the creative space and support to create their own projects. Thats one thing that I always loved about UX and wanted to expand on. I think its so cool seeing other peoples creative works, whether it be artwork, music, writing, forum games, actual games, videos, graphic design, and so on. I know some people in the community that want to do legitimate podcasts that could possible extend to people outside the community and draw users in. So when I talk about support I want the community to help eachother get their projects off the ground. Like making machinima? Cool, lets put all your videos on our official channel and include updates on our homepage. Need music for those videos? Ask one of our resident composers. Graphics? Advertisement? You get the picture. I like the idea of multiple people coming together to create something, or at least one person sharing something that they had fun making.

You should all think of something you personally want to do. I know that for me, I'd like to write a weekly article where I talk about, review, and discuss with others things like cigars, spirits, and mens fashion. I think it'd be a lot of fun for me because I could hone my writing ability which I think is pretty lacking, and also talk about things I love and hopefully get people interested in those things.

I also cant wait to design the layouts (which has always been one of my favorite parts of UndeadXbox) with the help of Flasktoss and maybe some of you hopefully. I would really like to have rotating layouts that are fun, relevant to forum activity during the week, and sometimes interactive.

I also think it would be cool to expand on our forum games. Imagine having large ARG-like forum games where the entire forum is the game for the week and the entire community is involved. Maybe we could incorporate real video games into the mix in order to determine outcomes. (Ex: Zombie survival forum game for old times sake, members of the community become infected while survivors try and stay alive within certain "safe" threads. Once a week the survivors must participate in matches in different zombie video games with intended goals for victory. Ex: Survivors must last 45 minutes in Killing Floor to secure shelter for the week. Any survivor who doesn't make it, joins the infected ranks. There would also be daily in-forum goals as well.)

So yeah, I have a ton of ideas that I want to see happen, what are YOURS?

Definitely more video media, concerning Youtube and what not. Machinima, Lets Plays, Music videos, etc.

All that stuff sounds doable already. It's not like it would get removed or something if somebody posted a topic on any of those subjects.

OMG is there any way to beef up the chatbox to add sound video msg file sharing because i believe that would add some cool shit to ux
