Out of boredom I dug up some old accounts I made in like 2007 and 2008... back when I was getting into dubstep and drum n bass. I stopped following the scene before it became mainstream (god damn, can't even say that anymore without sounding like a hipster, can you?) and never realised just how fucking bad the current dubstep scene is. I never particularly liked it, but... holy shit, I wasn't even mad at dubstep becoming mainstream, but listening to all this old stuff, and wondering what the hell went wrong is really rubbing me the wrong way.

Or I dunno, maybe it's just nostalgia.

I wasn't very familiar with dubstep until it hit mainstream. That might have ruined it for me, because I've never been much of a fan. I feel like it's too predictable. Like every song ends up the same way one way or another.

Genesis is one of the bands that when you listen to them, everything seems to mute except the song. Last year I was driving in San Diego at about 10:00 and this comes on, everything just goes quiet.
