I made an exploitable animation fellow.

I was creating this two frame animation for another project, and I decided that it would be cool to share it and see if anyone could use it. As I said, it's just two simple frames, but it might be fun anyway.





Just draw whatever you want into those two outlines, and then throw the frames into your preferred GIF or APNG creator. I personally suggest the APNG editor add-on for Firefox.

I'm sure someone here could make something SUPER FABULOUS AMAZING out of this. The size is great for avatars, and maybe sigs. If you guys find this interesting, I could work on some other, more complex, frames in the future.

Damn't thats pretty awesome. I would definitely make some cool dudes, but I never made a gif before and don't know how.

I made a (hopefully) simple tutorial on several different methods. I forgot that the embedded Quicktime player doesn't have a timer on the bar, but I'm sure you can figure out which part to go to. I think you said you use GIMP, and if so, the GIMP portion begins as soon as the background of the screen turns red/orange-ish.

Easily done in CS3, just takes some time.

What do you mean? The background of the image should be transparent from the start. Is it different for you?

No, I go and make a new layer and put it underneath everything. Thing I find the layers that have unneeded things that need to be erased. I can't see small white bits from the white and gray checker board that marks transparency
After I'm done I delete the layer in the background making it transparent again.

That's understandable. Just out of curiosity, what program are you using?

Oh, yeah. I guess I'm tired, because I read it when you mentioned CS3 before.

One tip for this particular thing, for when you're filling it with colors: Select the area inside of the outline that you want to color before you do anything to it, and only color on a layer separate from the outline itself. This will help to eliminate messy spots on the outside of the outline, and it will also split the colors up into pieces so that you can work on them apart from the outline.

I don't know if you're already onto this or not, but it doesn't hurt to try.

Yes, you must use all of these in order if you want the full animation. If you'll notice, the last few are the first few in reverse order. For those, just copy the drawings from the previous frames.
