Name: Lewis
Age: 16
Hobbies (before the outbreak): Composing music, Socialising.

Background STORY:

It was around 03:00AM and I headed towards my bathroom across the hall for a glass of water. As I left my room I heard a scream coming from outside. I slowly walked to my window and glanced out. A horde of people biting eachother and others struggling to get free. I knew they were zombies, after all the films I'd seen, there was no doubt about it. My parents and older sister were on holidays so I was alone. I changed into tracksuit bottoms, t-shirt and a hoody since I had nothing really suitable for this situation. I grabbed a belt from my drawers and made pockets on it to keep stuff in. I went downstairs and got a kitchen knife from next to the cooker, put it in my belt and got a backpack. I took tinned food and other supplies that wasn't much of a burden on me and put them into my bag. I unlocked my front door and legged it. I had to improvise, I had no plan.

Journal Entries:

It's been a week, seems like a long time. I'm hiding at an apartment next to Homebrew Cafe in Tutelo Ave. I'm traveling though, hoping to get to central park in the next couple of days and hold out in that city until help arrives.
-
I'm almost at the bridge crossing to Algonquin, I've encountered some attacks but handled them well, I did spot a helicopter, but they didn't spot me. I'm hoping there to be some kind of "Safehouse" in the city, or at least a place where there are more survivors.
-
I've just arrived at Algonquin and things are looking just as grim as Dukes and Broker. I haven't spotted any life yet, or dead for that matter. I really need to find some kind of communication device or radio to know if there is any rescue operations or any other survivors. I don't want to be alone.
-
I'm so tired, I've walked most of the way, I've only used one vehicle, a moped and that was just for 2 minutes then it's fuel run out. I haven't reached the park yet unfortunately but I'm getting very close, about half an hour until I'm there. I spotted a safehouse on a small building but all I could see was blood on the side, trickling down from the roof, I didn't take my chances.
-
I'm walking up Columbus Ave, it's a long trek, but it must be done. There is no signs of life, ANYWHERE. What will i do if i'm alone, if nobody is even trying to save me, or whoever is left. This is going to be a long event.
-
Just reached Nickel St. and starting to head west to find an entrance to Central Park. I've made a plan B. If there isnt anyone in Central Park or i can't find any other survivors, i'm going to find a building i can barracade and hold off there until i need more supplies, which isn't going to be that long.
-
I'm in a safe place now, with other survivors and plenty of supplies, so heres the story.
I entered central park and found nothing but corpses, rotten, some even burnt. When I left I saw a girl across the other side of the road, shouting to me "Hey, Over here!". I went over and she escorted me into a hotel, south of central park. When we went through the doors, the sight I saw relieved me. There were around 30 survivors, all perfectly fine holding out in this hotel. As I walked through the door, two soldiers barricaded it back up behind me and said, "you'll be safe here, we have thousands of supplies and a lot of weapons. Say, where are you from?" I replied "Boone St, Broker.". He asked, "How'd ya get here?", "walked", I answered. "well it's nice to see another outsider", he said.
So, that's how I got to this "Safehouse". I'm going to ask the soldiers later if there's any rescuers out there, but for now, I'm going to relax and get my energy back. Ready for the new day tomorrow, or incase something happens tonight...
-
I woke up to the sound of a crowd outside, beating away at the doors of the hotel. I looked at a clock on the wall, 02:44 AM. I wasn't that tired since I'd gone to bed earlier than normal. As I got up I grabbed my bag and strapped it tightly to my back. Everyone was screaming, not knowing what to do or where to go, the soldiers started holding the barricade to stop it from being destroyed. I ran to the closest person and asked them if there were other exits, she said there was a back door but it had been smelted closed. As I turned to look behind me I noticed a set of shelves that looked out of place, I walked towards it and could see a control behind it, with two buttons, up and down.
I moved the shelves and it was an elevator, I put my hands between the small crevice that had formed due to the doors not closing tight. I opened the doors and there was no carrige, but a 6ft drop to the lower level of the hotel, the car park.

I shouted for everyone to get down the small drop and try to get out, everyone rushed towards the exit. They jumped down one at a time, and I shouted at the soldiers to stop holding the barricade and get down. They looked at eachother, "1,2,3!" they screamed. They run to the elevator shaft and jumped down, I let go of the doors and they shut automatically just as I landed on the ground below. I looked where everyone was and seen they had started running towards the wide opening at the entrance of the car park, and heard the barricade break above us. I run, heading towards the entrance and as we all got out, we stopped in the street. "where are we going?" everyone asked, the soldiers replied "we must get to the Lawyer Offices."
As he finished his sentence, a horde of undead run as fast as they could around the corner from the hotel entrance, heading straight towards us.
-
I gasped and made a run for it, heading south towards the Lawyer Offices that were by Flatfish Place. My heart pounded like never before as the group and me were trying to escape. I turned to see a women with her baby, struggling to catch up, my heart sank. I slowed down and asked her "should I hold the baby for you?", she was crying because she thought she wasn't going to survive, "please take her!".
I took the baby and I shouted to the women to run ahead.
It seemed now that the group had split, but I followed the mother of the child and saw she had run into a corner shop. I run as fast as I could into the shop and handed the child to her. I moved a desk infront of the door and glanced out of the window. I saw the horde of zombies running down the street next to us, and had no idea where the other survivors were.

Looks nice so far. Though it is a bit abrupt, I like the journal entry style.
