New Xbox Kinect Dashboard!

I just downloaded it, whats your thoughts, personally I love it!

This update is terrible. Its ugly, voice chat does not seem improved, if anything it seems a layer of static was added. The color scheme is terrible, white is not appealing at all. The "squaring off" of edges and boxing off all windows seems like it takes up more space and I find myself having to scroll more to the right to see the rest of whats in the spotlight or game marketplace.

The fonts are also really ugly, especially the ones on the dashboard "My xbox, Game Marketplace, Video Marketplace, ect."

Avatars have been given a little more realism. THere still cartoony as ever but the body shapes are more realistic. Nothing wrong with this. Nor does it matter at all.


I feel like overall quality has diminished, and its too similar to the wii's interface.

same too. I think that they went for a more recreational and/or family feeling to it. I am more of a underground/pro kinda person and so is most gamers.

On another note, the avatars are better. they may still have that cartoony feeling but their size is better than it was. Now the voice chat in my perspective may seem horrible but at least you won't hear 4 year olds hurt your ear whenver you're playing reach. Those are my thoughts and I know that some WILL disagree but ya.

It to make things easier for Kinect users.

Why make things easier for about hmmmmm maybe 30-40% of Xbox Live users when you can satisfy the 60-70%. Not everyone will get Kinect. Maybe half or even less.

The new dashboard is absolutely crap, so what if it makes it easier for KINECT users? Its ugly as hell, thats all i have to say

The new voice chat makes us sound like depressed robots.

The only new feature I actually like is ESPN.

Just finished downloading... WORST DASHBOARD EVER.

I swear I don't know what is wrong with Microsoft, because they have serious issues. All my personal settings are gone, and some I can't get back. It is a MAJOR step backwards.

I swear these kind of updates make me want to sell my xbox and buy a PS3 instead... way to go Microsoft.

mine was too at first. i tried like 20 times and it workd

I had the same problem, then eventually it worked.

just go to ur xbox online and change it back then... I am 99% sure you still can, and even back to the one from 2 years ago

I'm almost positive you can't.

You can erase all updates that you have on your xbox (game updates, dashboard updates, etc.), but you will still have to re-download the new dashboard option.
