Could probably do that to the Fastback when it was new 40 years ago (don't know why you would), but I wouldn't do it today. It's starting to get a sag.

Those videos just play into the stereotype that American cars are only good for straight lines.. and then a corner comes... RIP.

(not saying it is true, just saying that it plays into it)

That doesn't even make anysense...Of coarse these cars are only good in straight lines, they're dragsters. They are the fastest accelerating vehicles on wheels, 0-330 in 4.5 seconds. I don't even understand what your point is...
All I have to say about what you said can be summed up in one word, ZR1.

Edit: NHRA is not the same as Formula 1. If you wanna see handling in American racecars look at INDY car racing not Drag cars.

Ah yes the 2012 ZR1. Heard about the Nurburgring time. Grats on America finally making a car that can keep up with Europe. Performance wise, it is near evenly matched. Everything else though... interior, fit and finish, etc... absolute garbage.

I guess if you wanna nit pick you won't find a European car in the same price range as a Vette ZR1 that is as fast and when it comes down to it most people can't drive anyway, they just wanna go FAST. Calling the interior, fit and finish garbage, c'mon you know that's not true. Unless you are a complete douche you'd be thrilled with the interior. Ask anyone, ANYONE, in the world, who has sat in a European sports/supercar and a ZR1, and they would agree with me.

Why do you think the high performance ZR1 costs so low comparatively? Euro companies aren't making a bigger profit, and don't say labor rates make up the difference; not even close. In terms of quality, you pay for what you get. Chevy is cutting cost somewhere; if it isn't the performance, it comes from everywhere else.

lol As much as I don't agree with you on the ZR1 having a bad interior if you are comparing a 200,000+ car to the ZR1, the more expensive car better have a better interior. The reason why the ZR1 is a better value though is because GM uses a lot of parts a la mass production style on most of their vehicles(In other words a lot of different GM vehicles use the same parts reducing costs). When I say better value I don't mean the best I mean BEST FOR THE MONEY. Now you may disagree and argue that you like Porches but at that point its personal preference and what you want the car to do.

Agreed. Not saying it's a bad car; it is a great car. It is just every car I talk about I refer to as RELATIVE to Porsche's / German cars, so of course they are going to get negative reviews. It all comes down to personal preference, as you said.
