I'm totally with you. Loved the first season. Didn't see it when it premiered, but I ended up watching the whole season in one day on a "Catch Up" day. It was awesome.

It was difficult to watch the show as a reader and fan of the comic. I couldn't help but be disappointed with some of the decisions they made (story changes and such).
I'm actually hoping that the new writing team is about to bring something different and better to the table.

as someone who hasnt had the oppertunity to read the comics at all, the show is supposedly pretty faithful to the comic ive heard. either way, the first season was exactly what i expected and more and the second season IS gonna be the stuff. and i havent even seen it yet. cant wait to se what happens while they are on the road... lots of possibilities!

As someone who has read the comic, I would say it's partly faithful. In several large ways, it is completely different.

i only got up to issue 5 y'know why because i spent 50 pound or dollars on them and didn't know the compodium.
if you are thinking about getting the comics get the compodium unless you wanna see just by 1st issue and then get it.
