TECH QUESTION ABOUT FRAPS!

Ok so I decided to try and record minecraft today. When I tried to do it, everything would lag and five seconds later the game would be working again with no recording. I'm not sure why but Fraps dosen't seem to want to record. This also happened on King Arthur's Gold.

Any help?

This is going to sound very "untechnical" but I hear that Fraps sometimes likes to just have its period when it's most inconvenient.

Yeah, I used to be able to record Skyrim with it, but now it can't even record video. I can only take screenshots.

I don't understand It was working at one point and then It just started freezing and not recording.

Check your RAM once you have fraps and minecraft running. If it keeps spiking, fraps may just be crashing. Otherwise, it could be something wrong with either resolution issue or some obscure setting that the creators fraps has listed somewhere on their site.

When running a game and fraps, does the RAM hit or stay at 100%?
