Read through the post. What fucking douchers, those "Too long, didn't read" types. That's one thing I hate about really big forums like that, the douchey people who just spout memes every post.

As someone who knows almost nothing about guns, I didn't have the proper knowledge to assess whether or not some of the ideas sounded fun. But I definitely do prefer melee-ing with guns, and also like the stamina idea. I personally would have added in "take out the silly dramatic filter, as it makes it unrealistic". I also like the idea of more factions, since it would add a bit more variety to the game. On the idea of clambering over walls that are about the height of the player, I'm sure that could be cool, but it would probably have to take quite a while, since you are climbing a moderately high wall, and you do have a lot of equipment with you. I still like the Bad Company 1 method of playing as a Specialist and just blowing through every wall that gets in my way with C4. That always felt badass.

I don't quite get what that guy who decided to quote your entire post meant when he said "I'm sure this will be abused in some way" in reference to having players see through the eyes of the character.

I'm sure he was referring to being knocked down by explosives, which could be excused. But when I had it in mind, I was referring to tank shells landing next to you but not killing you, M203s blasting you into walls when they land within about ten feet of you, hand grenades knocking you down on the ground, whatever would be realistic. It could be abused, but I also think that 12 Gauge frag rounds have absolutely NO spot in the game. Shotguns are shotguns, not mini-grenade launchers.

Just because something is realistic, doesn't necessarily mean it should be there, you know what I mean?

This is also why GTA4 wasn't as great as what it could have been! (though it is still good)

I don't think the game will sell too well in England then.

Since it is an American company, you better bet the storyline will revolve around America kicking the UK's ass, and shooting your own people.

Personally, I think they should have a modern take on a war (let's face it, the whole capitalism vs. communism thing was 20th century stuff).

Maybe, it should be western powers (USA, Europe, etc..) versus a swarm of ME armies. Maybe also mix it up from the classic combat and introduce gorilla warfare and etc..

They could also do a fictional war of the South (in the US) leaving the union again, and another fictional civil war, only in modern times.

and i do agree with the idea of a civil war. It made me think of screenplay that i wrote where america had three wars going on at the same time on thier homeland...Chinese and Koreans on the west, Russians and revolution in the east.
I think a good idea would be to add some strategic things in such as(taken from dynasty warriors empires)choosing to play for which side,go from a strategic phase to recruit and supply,(would work best from my screenplay) choose which state to attack and defend from incoming attacks on your territory, and (stolen from endwar) even choose your general but also provide yourself with a little bit of story for each of the states that are being taken.

I read it and i liked it,
The knockdown i would think would be hard to do unless it was a ragdoll physic in which case never mind.

And i was wondering what did you mean by replacing the instaknife with a smashing someones face in? I like the animation of stabbing people but knocking them down and smashing their face in with your gun would be cooler, maybe make it last a few seconds so that a friend can save you if they get there in time

On a serious note, I did recommend some of things you stated, particularly in the form of Israel and Palestine. But it could be any in the region. I do not necessarily want to forego the RU vs US scenario, because it is very fun. I talk about various factions, akin to what Project Reality does. Project Reality also features guerilla warfare pretty well.

Yup because it is so old at this point that it's new.

And it wouldn't be 19th century; the game would have modern landscapes / guns rather than the junk back then; a modern take on a historical event.
