GTA V: Multiple Discs Required For Xbox 360

This does not surprise me one bit. GTAIV took the 360 console to near it's limits as is, and considering the dramatically bigger map size and graphics update for GTAV, among other advances, it would be a surprise if it wasn't over multiple discs. In fact, logically, two might not even be enough.

That's what you get when Microsoft doesn't think a blue-ray upgrade is a good idea; PS3 should not have this issue.

i think that they might use 4 disc's. 3 for campaign and 1 for multiplier. they might have more disc's but than just have you download it to your game consul like they did with halo 4 multiplier. but i don't think it really matters as long as they don't have multiplier on multiple disc's. most of the games i have are on multiple disc's: rainbow six vegas 2, LA noire, Battlefield 3, halo 4.

If you are going to have to download anything from other disk it looks like I'm getting another hard drive. I also hate having multiple disk.

I thought the same thing slacky. But one of the best parts of GTA is the multiplayer....so if I get it on ps3 then I can't play with MAH DUDES.

I think with all that GTA V and Rockstar has to offer, it has to be in multiple discs. They can't just put updated graphics systems, and all that data all in one disc. Maybe they will combine single player and multiplayer in 1 disc, and single player part 2 in another..

Blue-ray wasn't exactly a big thing when the 360 came out. The first prototype for the thing was in 2003...

Well yeah, but it still existed (just goes to show you how old the 360 really is lol). However, Sony jumped on the blue-ray wagen, and Microsoft chose not to, in which they may or may not regret today (I certainly would've preferred it).

Let's just disregard the fact that the game has been advertised as being larger than Red Dead Redemption, GTA IV, and San Andreas combined, and that we can somehow realistically expect there to be one disk on the Xbox 360. Come on. Not even TWO disks Negative? It doesn't need to be confirmed, it's highly likely given the math of the situation.

I agree. They cannot simply put all that data all in one disk. Hell I was surprised even GTA IV came in one disc and to be fair that was a pretty long game.

Red dead redemption surprised me for being on one disc more than GTA 4 but than again red dead came out 2 years later. Far Cry 3 for the graphics and game play being on one disc is shocking.

I am going to say 2 disks for the singleplayer and 1 for the multiplayer makes sense seeing as L.A. Noire was 2 disks and that had that fancy facial animation hoobastank. Then again I suppose they could do one disk singleplayer/multiplayer then the other for the rest of the singleplayer I guess.
