It's a truly touching tale of love, fear, courage, honor, bravery, sacrifice, and the living dead. It's been nominated for 47 Academy Awards, all of which are for Best Picture (violating their own rules to praise this truly awesome and legendary piece of cinema). It'll make you laugh, and it'll make you cry. Drum-roll, please.

It is: "Operation Blood Docks: A GTA IV Zombie Infection Machinima".

Here's the link in case the other doesn't work: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyunZ7eXwqM.

Basically, I took footage from yesterday's zombie night and spent all day editing it into a cinematic adventure. I mainly had to remove anything that blatantly acknowledges the fact that it is a game. Further info available in the YouTube description. If you like it, be sure to hit the like button on the video, and also favorite it and leave a comment. If you dislike it, be sure to hit the like button on the video, and also favorite it. Also, if Undead Xbox wants to have another more recent video, I'll gladly send this one and it can be posted on the official YouTube channel. If not, that's okay too.

Hope you enjoy.

By the way, if you're curious as to why there's so much damn static, see the description offered in the video. I explain why there, and while you're there you can hit the like button. You'd be doing me a solid if you "like"d it.

Wow, I really got to hand it to you Desert, through some basic editing you've made one of the best videos we have. Thank you for putting the time into this one, it turned out to be a real beauty. I would love to have this on the UX channel. I'll PM you about it.

For the record though the campaign is called Blood Dock, not Blooddocks. But its all good.

Please make more!

Damn. I would rename it, but the video has "Blooddocks" in it.

EDIT: Renamed it, as it only briefly has "Blooddocks" show up once in the video. Video is now called "Operation Blood Dock".

By UX Operatives do you mean Paramilitary? Very Happy

It's cool to see our "official" (if you don't hold a high opinion of the word) military being showcased so much, also as a PMC outfit in post-apocalyptia against the remnants of the US Government.

Why we were saving civilians though is beyond me...

The Operatives in the video were simply well trained individuals working for the betterment of the Undead Xbox community. You may interpret them to be the Paramilitary, or anything else for that matter. It's up to the individual viewer. However, the fact that most of them were wearing NOOSE helmets and camouflage does help them look like a military force.

And the saving of civilians is intended to make UX seem more justified. No need to take the US Military's side if they're the bad guys, fighting to take supplies from needy civilians (judging by the helicopters and bombing run, they don't need supplies too badly).

EDIT: Actually, Operatives can mean UX Paramilitary Operatives IF you add it to the Paramilitary's record of operations. (The game was held on Saturday)

For the record, mine only goes up to 480p. It's a standard definition capture card (though I do have an HD TV if I ever need to upgrade.

Do you have the entire scenario of Blood Dock in two parts or something(because it's 15 minutes long)? Or did you just cut out preparation time?

Also, do you have footage from Legendary Soldier Redux?

I can get some good film. I'll just have to be survivor a good three-to-five rounds. If you noticed in the video, my outfit changed in between Blood Dock and Legendary Soldier. It's so that when I inevitably make a game-play montage (next project, just need a bit more footage), it'll look more variety-filled, as opposed to the same guy every round.

In regards to machinima work, absolutely I'm up for it. I intend to make a good bit of machinima myself, and I could use the experience. That's one of the main reasons I'm doing this. I'm also hoping to get the group some more exposure, and hopefully recruit any newcomers into community games.

That, and by posting some good videos now, I feel like I'm rounding out my profile more, and I'll hopefully have some subscribers when I start getting really into it.

Nice video. It's good to see that round from another perspective, because it answered a few questions. I had been wondering why the zombies never stacked and flooded up the stairs on my side. I figured you and the other guy over there were shooting most of them down before they got there (because it kept chiming to announce kills), I just didn't see it. No doubt we'd have been cooked were it not for that. It would be a lot harder to take down all ten stacked running up the stairs at once. Never more than two at a time got past you guys, and that's out of ten.

And I'm usually not too open about what music I like, but I actually quite like Johnny Cash. I'll be sure to like the video and comment.

I'd be more than happy to help out with any machinimas. If you'd like, you can just PM or email me a list of skits you'd like filmed in whatever game, and I can try to do those immediately. Then I'd send you the results to be edited and incorporated into the video with the rest of what you filmed, and you can list me in the credits as a contributer (and perhaps have a link to my YouTube page in the description).

A good way to start out teamwork wise would be if I add a link to your Blood Dock video in the description of mine, and list it as a "companion piece", and if you do the same for me. Also, you'll rake in more views if you add more tags. I have 54 tags on mine (not all of them that relevant, some like "tug boat" ) and plan on adding more if I can.

Also, just out of curiosity, how did you get your static effects? I originally tried recording my TV on static, but for some reason my camera was recording in a little box, so it didn't fit with the rest of the video. I ended up downloading stock footage static.
