Re: Gaming PC
I'm still getting the x51, they are very easy to customize and to add parts on and £700 is not a bad price with a GT640 and i5 Processor these are easy to change and plus its a nice looking pc. To be honest i don't see what the problem is, Also the reason i wouldn't get a cheap computer and build parts is that if you break your computer then you are completely fucked.

Or you could, y'know, get a reasonably priced alternative.sgt zombie23 wrote:Oh that totally helps me! Let me just remove the price from the list of options.
If you're looking for a gaming PC but don't want to build one yourself, you should at least avoid the ones being advertised as "gaming PC's" as they are generally just overpriced POS in flashy cases for gullible idiots. You can get an package PC of equal or better performance in a much more tasteful case for far less money.

Re: Gaming PC
If anyone on here wants to buy a graphics card anytime soon, I will gladly sell you one. It's a ATI 6870. It runs most games on ultra or high.
It runs fine and I want to just get rid of it mainly because, I have the money now and it's the slowest thing in my PC currently. I have no problem selling it under typical resell value. Like I said, I just want it gone.
Figured this was relevant.

I've got another account anyway, so it's cool.
Also, probably won't be getting a gaming PC for a while. Need my money for festival tickets.

Re: Gaming PC
I got a second hard drive a bit ago, and have been using it to store videos from Fraps.
This is what I've been doing as on now. Just want to know if there's maybe a smarter way to do this or if I'm making some kind of mistake that isn't evident?
The second hard drive has a folder full of videos in it and that's it, and the folder I'm moving over now has several videos and quite a few pictures in it (Which aren't big. Like 50 percent of those 117 items are just pictures, the videos take up most of that space).
There is an option to compress stuff, but last time I tried to compress a folder it listed the time as 19 days or something. I did it on a single video and it reduced it's size by about a quarter or a third maybe, but it took quite a while. Is there maybe a faster way to compress stuff with Winrar or something? Or should I just hurry the hell up, edit those files into videos and then delete them and stop being such a slouch?
