Guild Wars 2 anyone?

I haven't been on this site in forever, and I'm really sorry about that, but I was wondering if anyone was gonna get Guild Wars 2(I know I am) and would like to play with me, maybe, with enough people, we could get a group or two to go into world vs. world vs. world and capture supply camps for our server. I think this is the topic which everyone can nerd over this game and I will (hopefully) check on this at least once a day. Hope to get any form of reply back, and, knowing the group on this site, it would be some satirical or cynical response... *sigh*

Ok, so the lack of any enthusiasm on this website about this game just crushed my fantasies bout being the best guild on a server...

I'd love to start up a guild when the game comes out.

I kind of ignored this at first, as I don't really like the idea of trying to get into an MMO everyone else has already settled into (and therefore likely hate new people). Then I saw that it isn't out yet, so I figured I'd watch a video just to see if it's worth it. Ended up watching this.



Holy shit, not out yet AND no monthly fee? AND the combat isn't turn based? As long as this game is decent, count me in. I've been looking for a new MMO for a while (WoW got boring a couple years ago, but now I kind of miss that feeling I used to get while playing it).

Only downside is I kind of like the idea of being a healer, but oh well.

I am completely nerding over this game, and I really do hope we can get a guild started, and Desert, I'm glad you looked into this game enough to see its potential.

Slacker was the one that got me interested in it, count me in as well.

Yeah, day one launch.

this is a pc game right ? If it is what s probably the system requirements. My laptop is a new over 2008 model , i'm not positive about the year , but it does have a good graphics card.

Seeing as the game is still in beta (and yes, it is on PC) there have not been any announcements about the system requirements. They are still running the tests for that inthe beta, and they ask for people to send in their system specs in to kind of get a clue as to the minimal requirements will be needed. Once they release this information, you can bet that it will be on this topic.

a guild of 6 a guild does not make. I am probably going to get this game though.

Ok, how about the UX group will be the founders/leaders, and we can invite and advertise in the game, further increasing the popularity of this website by saying "Go to undead-xbox.com for more fun wit zombies!" or something like that.

Whenever they put out the release date for this, we should all come up with a clan name together.

Seeing as using "Undead Xbox" on a PC MMORPG not about zombies seems inappropriate.

I agree with you, but I just can't think of anything that would be cool and not have "Undead" or "Xbox" in it.

If SMK does get GW2 I think it should be him to come up with the name, seeing as how he is a member of staff and all.

Definitely getting this game. The no monthly fee thing, World vs. World, and varying combat really makes it the better choice over WoW.

Combat in WoW and most other MMOs isn't turn based. GW2 is, to my understanding, just going to emulate the same click-and-hotkey combat as them.

Really the game's only appeal is the lack of a monthly fee. Having played to 20 in the first I can't say I enjoyed it particularly much and though this seems to fix a lot of the problems with that game I haven't been given any reason to expect anything exciting and new.

I think it should just be whoever ends up playing it and joining this hypothetical guild votes on a name they like best.

Basically whoever plays picks the name together.

Let's not get too in depth with a name though, the game isn't coming out for awhile lol.
